Hello, I am being sleeved at a Bariatric Center of Excellence in two weeks from today, in another state. I asked them to fax my pre-op diet thinking I would be starting today... their pre-op is only 2 days! Should I start a low/no carb high protein diet anyway? I really want the best possible outcome. I would greatly appreciate any guidance. Thank you.

Hi, this is my first post. I am 49, female, self pay sleeve. I will be making a one time 10 hour drive for my surgery at a facility that is recognized as a Bariatric Center of Excellence. Although the date has yet to be set, the plan for the week is; Sunday, travel, Monday, exam and blood work, Tuesday, nutritionist and psychiatric evaluation, Wednesday, surgery. The plan is for me to stay in town until the following Monday for my final check up. Anyone else have a similar experience? I am hoping to have surgery in February. I appreciate reading about everyone's experiences on here. I have been overweight my whole life and can not even imagine a life with out this issue clouding everything that I do!
