  1. You explained it excatly like JCPennys "ads" say to do Linda... I just posted in the first procedure post about my bra size...I KNOW I was definitly wearing the wrong size bra, but I also lost ALOT of inches ( rib cage ) from a 54-56 D to a 40 C I just bought a new bra, and the first time I bought an underWire, and the "girls" are almost PERKY!!! lmao!!! I never got an underwire before because they were too uncomfortable for me, but because I was wearing the wrong size, I LOVE this bra and will be getting more...
  2. My first response to this was of course getting the "girls" lifted... but I'm amazed at how much I have lost there, which is ok by me... I've gone from a 54-56 D to now a 40 C( could be a B cup but the way I have lost weight... they do better in a B cup ) I just went and tanned today... and OMG... my legs....... they are awful!! I NEVER dreamed I would have skinny legs, but they are!! but I also didn't realize how BIG they were so the skin is sagging sooo bad... A total lower body lift is what I want... Then I start to think...... am I too old to even bother?? Legs looks ok in pants, but the belly has that "butt front" look... anyone know what I'm talking about>>>>??? VA- I nursed both my kids tooo.... they never even knew what a bottle was. But i would take the belly/leg lift over the boobs in a heart beat!
  3. First off I gotta say I'm soooooo happy for Tiff!! And "TRIVIAL"????????.........NO WAY!!!! I don't think any of us can say we wern't touched by that statement!!! "I literally fell asleep in my love's arms. " I Know I was!!! Second- I have been having computer problems, so sorry I havnt been around... still got them, so gotta take this back tomorrow if he can get me in......... YUCK.... bad virus going around, but guess I been lucky... this is the first one I've had. OK.... Now for my NSV!!!! I worked this week end- and I work for a major retailor..... I was working away when this woman stopped me... she said I just have to say something to you... well.. I had no idea what she was gonna say but working in retail I thought it was a complaint. she said "I have been shopping here for a long time and I have seen you forever, I know you;ve worked here a long time ( I have been there 12 years)... and I just I just have to tell you how great you look, you have lost so much weight, and you really look fantastic!!" I was shocked!! I know alot of our customers, but this woman didn't look familar to me... but I was really surprised at how someone could notice things, and she continued to say I just had to tell you ... you really look good. Talk about a WOW moment.... even customers noticed how big I was! Anyway.. it made my day!!

I'm really happy things are good! Keep us updated!
  9. I'm gonna have to try this out.... not sure if I want to order a case, gotta know if I like it first. I'm going to Paducah KY, tomorrow, it's a much bigger town then where I live so maybe I can find them there. We do have a health store where I live, yet I never visited it, I've wanted to, but now I have a reason LOL Are the hemp hearts in a can?? INO I sound ignorant, just never seen or heart of them....
  10. It's hard for our dogs to lose weight too! I want my lucy with me for a long time! She's 5 and slowing down a bit, and noticing her having trouble I wanted to help. I have a little yorkie too- he's 2 and pretty active. Since she lost the wieght she's playing with him more too!! Glad to see others are helping their fur babies too!! :001_tt2:
  11. Didn't know where to post this... sorry Anyway... about two months ago, I started noticing how big my Pomeranian has gotten, got her shaved for the summer and I reallt noticed how big she had gotten. I had my son weigh her........... 19 pounds!!! Her breathing was labored... So I changed her diet up, and I been taking her on "short walks" And I weighed her this morning.......... she lost 4 pounds!!! wooo hooo!!! I want her to be healthy too!
  12. Glad to hear things are getting better Steve! I drank the green tea too in the beginning... and did the smae thing... 4 of them a day was my 64 oz. Now I do the crystal lite- it was too sweet for me in the beginning, but my taste has changed... I LIKE SWEET:w00t: Now.... onto the TMI- Bob said it best........ and I thought i was gonna die laughing! But he hit the nail on the head- cause I have the same issues! I never was a "regular" kinda gal.... but going only once every three or four days suxs. I drink PLENTY of water, and I have been taking stool softeners, but still have issues........ any and all suggestions will be welcomed!!!!!
  13. Awwww Tiff!! I'm so sorry to hear this!! I know how excited you were! When he gets home will he be here for awhile? I sure do hope so! It sounds like you both need each other about now! Be strong.... and hopefully the week will fly by and you two will be together! Hope the coming home outfit still fits ya... and you don't have to go buy another on in a smaller size! ( well- that wouldn't be tooo bad either! )
  14. Hope- Thats WONDERFUL about your CFS- I too keep a journal- and I have been on Effexsor but last year at this time- it sure wasn't working... I cried at the drop of a dime... now... as I read back some posts I made... I didn't cry..... but realized I am getting better... And for your shopping........ CONGRATS to you!!!! Quick story... It had been YEARS since I shopped in a reg. strore, so my first shopping trip I was just wandering around and found some things I liked... not sure of sizes etc... I ended up in the JOUIORS .. and of course the large didn't fit!! LMAO........ took me a while to figure out the sizes.... Lady lee..... I never had the band, my only WLS has been the VSG. And I am doing great with it. In the beginning I was losing 7-10 pounds a week, but you have to understand... I started out weighing 373 pounds at my heaviest. The avg. has been about 2-3 pounds a wk. But it has slowed this past month with my "cheating" I can eat just about anything now, but I don't care for beef and my doc doesn't want us to eat that until about a year out. But I have. Just don't care for it now. I usually eat talipia or salmon and of course alot of chicken. I search for recipes on the web... but with just me to cook for, I just makes simple meals, and cook my talipia on my George Foreman grill... it only takes a few minutes, and then I have a veg with it. I also have turkey cutlets that I love!!! I take tuna for lunch, or have a yogourt.. leftovers from the nite before.. you get the pic? It will continue to get easier...... feel free to message me if you got any questions..I am still learning as well....
  15. LOL Vegas!!! I can relate... my oldest turns 27 Oct. 1st.... or is that 28??? :confused1:Hmmmmmmmm........ what walker??:thumbup1: ( it's 28!! LOL )
  16. The only problem I find now is people tell me not to get too small. How much more weight are you going to lose? you don't need to lose more... You don't need to get sickly looking... etc. My answer to that is... all you have known me as is BIG... you didn't ever know me "thin".... I worked where I am for 12 years, and have been heavy the whole time... but worse the past 5 years! I am still considered 'obese'- My goal is 160lbs- to be "normal" I also decided to tell everyone because I didn't want "rumors" to fly- that I might be sick etc. losing weight that fast. I just faced my demons- admitted I had a problem with food and drastic times called for drastic measures. Just like an alcoholic- I have a food problem, and needed to face it head on. I do hate having to admit how bad I let myself go- but I have support there too... people are reasureing me that I did what I had to do to get back some control in my life. Not to look back at the past-but to the future of being healthy and at least I did SOMETHINg- It's just hard to face....That I could let myself get that bad........ It is strange how my body has changed thru all this... I am 211 lbs now.... and can fit a size 14 pants! What will I be in at 160? It baffles me. It baffles me that people say I look good- I am still obese-not overweight-OBESE. You hear the words "skinny"-"sexy" etc... I KNOW they aren't talking about ME! Lots of demons I still have to face......
  17. I'm glad your friends are being supportive!! I knew they would! I didn;t keep my weight loss a secret- I didn't tell anyone until it was over- and everything was ok- But I have had nothing but support and kind words of encouragement! I kept thinking of Star Jones- how she said she lost all that weight thru pallates!! LOL We all know thats a lie!
  18. WOOO HOOOOOOOO!! CONGRATULATIONS!! I know you will do well! I can't wait to hear about your day- and will be sending good thoughts and wishes your way! Glad ya got the ticker working... and start taking your measurements so that when the scale doesn't move, you'll see the inches melt off!! Then you won't get discouraged! but you won't have to worry about that for a long time... but I do suggest the measurements. G'luck and keep us posted!
  19. Transfer addiction...... mine turned into shopping... first it was a necessity- I had NOTHING that fit.... Then when I saw the sizes dropping.... I was thrilled. going from 3-4 X STRETCH pants to a ZIPPERED size 16- totally AMAZING... and now I can get into a 14- so yeah........ shopping is fun. I had only shopped online at 'fat' girl places... and had several of the same tops because I can only wear certain colors at work. I hated to try clothes on- was tooo much like 'work'........ now I love it! And it's not just clothes I shop for- it's things for my house- and now that my weight has slowed- I don't need anything now but a sweater and a winter coat- so going shopping tomorrow w/my friend:001_tongue:And I'm a bargain shopper... not gonna spend much on clothes. I'm painting- inside and out- just to keeep me busy and doing things I found tooo difficult to do before the WL. Cleaning closets, going thru pictures, just things I had put off....
  20. Guess I missed this........ 'cause I didnt' know there was an ipod giveaway!!!:thumbup1:
  21. Hi Ladylee.... I'm 7 months out now... and it's getting alot easier... almost tooo much-I wanna "cheat" more and more. NOT a good thing. In the beginning food was awful, I vomited or "slimmed" for the first 3 months or almost 4. I still have issues with vomiting if I eat too fast- thats an old bad habit that I am working on breaking. ( eating too fast) But I'm really PLEASED/HAPPY with my sleeve... I've lost 142 lbs. in 6 months.... I"M HAPPY!!!! I still have 50 pounds to go to make "goal" and it is getting harder. G'luck to you!!!
  22. Yep.... Bra's were horrible to find! And then I had to buy EXTENSIONS!! Uggggggggg!! The first shopping trip I went on to a "regular" store was Kohl's and with a good friend I don't see very often, I was trying on a blouse and asking her opinion, and she was kinda nervous at first but she finnally told me I need to "lift" the girls.... So she ran and found me a bra and I couldn't believe it fit... AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE ! The "girls" are definitly leaving me.... but I'm OK with that!!!!:tongue_smilie:
  23. Congratulations on your date!! I bet you're getting excited! As for the protein drinks... it's gonna be hit n'miss... what I like.. you might HATE....I did like the unjury chicken broth, it was soothing the first few weeks after surgery. I didn't care for anything sweet, but I sure do now!! LOL But I did order my vitamins in advance... I use Bariatric Advantage- I use the Vitamin D-The Watermelon Multi Vitamin and sublingual B12. This is what my doc suggests, and I'm happy with them... Keep us posted!!!
  24. WOW- the last 2 post were pretty intense....and reminded me of myself in many ways. Stoongal- I am really impressed with you! I know you will ride motorcycles again! You have the determination, and it just sounds like you are so full of life! My mother is 72- and I had to put her in a nursing home 1.5 yrs ago and it broke my heart... she is not "old" but her body is eaten up with arthritis, and she became incontenet and had damentia- it saddened me that I couldn't work and take care of her anymore. I'm 50 and started getting the same way you described... couldn't walk any distance without resting, or leaning on a shopping cart in the grocery store. Heck-could barely walk to the mailbox without being winded! No way to live. Which brings me to Hope4me.... I wasn't living... I was existing...I wouldn't go anywhere either.... ashamed and embarresed... and I have lost all of my friends.... turning down so many invites... eventually... they quit inviting. I'm working on fixing this.... just not sure how to do it, but I'm not gonna stay cooped up in this house, and be a hermit. I wish you both the best.. and Stoongal... keep us posted on your surgery! Congrats on your date and I can't wait to hear from you in a few months.... after your surgery and all the things I KNOW you will be doing!!
  25. Bob....This is completly normal.... and things that you "loved" prior to WLS... you might hate now... and visa versa... I hadn't vomited in a month... then just the other day.. ate something... and BAM.... running to the bathroom.... but in that case I ate too fast!!! I still struggle with that. I find if I go to a restraurnt I do fine, but at home in my own surroundings... I eat too fast and end up hurting or in this case running to the bathroom. Enjoy this time and take advantage of the "honeymoon" I wish I was back there! I'm at a standstill.... not getting discourage... but struggleing a bit more now.
