  1. I am not for nor against anyone having a food funeral. Just that everyone should always do what they think is right for them. I had a food funeral before my Lap Band but I didn't have one before revising to my sleeve. I guess the difference in those two pre-ops was realizing I'd be able to have those things again someday, so adding on weight pre-op wasn't worth it to me. I like the list though, its really good. And I agree with Patrick 100% in regards to soda. I do have a few sips here and there, but rarely do I crave it. It has zero nutritional value and one thing most people seem to neglect realizing is that soda can have a negative effect on our hydration. Well wishes to all!!
  2. Hello everyone, Please keep in mind we always allow discussions and viewpoints from all, as long as they remain respectful, without name calling and kept to first hand knowledge and accounts of all Surgeons. We prefer not to moderate with an Iron fist here, so I on behalf of the moderation staff I ask that we perhaps bring the topic back down as this subject at hand, which is very helpful to many seeking information on the prices of Mexico Sleeve Surgery. Thanking you in advance. I am also posting a direct link to the Terms at which everyone agreed to when signing up to this website: http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=boardrules
  3. Yes you can drink Slim Fast shakes... though I would encourage perhaps another option. They are very high in sugar. Have you tried the Atkins RTD? I find them very tasty
  4. Ohhh WOWWW!!! You look sooo smashin Hunny!!! xoxo I think the BEST of it is the smile.
  5. WOWW!! 66 Lbs lost thats is so INCREDIBLE!!!
  6. You're one of the strongest women I've ever come across anywhere, and continue to be so. Hugs and prayers to you! I'm glad to hear Nugget is doing great!!
  7. Good for you on realizing what works. It's so important to remember the scale does NOT define our entire journey. So many factors go into how well or not we are doing. Everyone is different and weighing often does more harm than good. I weigh in about 3-4x per week, but it doesn't affect my day so it's not a big deal. Only time it did was when I was trying to hit Onederland... lol
  8. Wowww Congrats!!! You're doing excellent! You ARE inspiring many, so thank you!
  9. Wow!! Congrats on the NSV AND on your awesome losses... that was FAST! =)
  10. Sharon, I LOVE IT!!! Wow, your story made me want to cry... walking up that hill and feeling like you wanted to die. Ive been there, so I understand. Look at you now though. I'm so happy for you and I totally agree with Coops - you have a wonderfully lovely and soothing voice. Would you mind if I shared that on my Facebook??
  11. I've lost 160 and I think I've done quite well in the skin area. Again though, lots of factors go into it - namely age (which I'm not SUPER young... lol), ethnicity, I always kept fully hydrated, non smoker, ate healthy and well balanced, working out... and I think LOTS of luck. I had some Lipo (body contouring) done from my knees to my waist and I've had breast augmentation. But that's all at this point. I do plan to do more, but not rushing. I'm actually happy with myself right now. I'll assess again in about a year from now. Good luck!!
  12. For without honesty there cannot be healing. Without healing there will never be growth. And without growth we will always be doomed to keep making those same mistakes.
  13. Hi Addison, I will be 2 years out in September. I met my first weight loss goal in about 7 months which was to hit Onederland. I was 272 Lbs on surgery day. I've made numerous other goals for me since then. I'm currently sitting at about 169 Lbs at the moment. Just depends on the day. I have no problems right now however post op for the first few weeks I experienced some nausea. I also had some significant fatigue for the first 4 months, so that might be something you consider. Yes I'm keeping the weight off, in fact I do still lose more weight here and there. I'm working on toning up so with building more muscle I am losing more fat. HTH
  14. Hello there GLI, well... as allieg put it... Moms will be Moms. LOL My Mom does this all the time. I just smile and nod and say "Okay Mom, I promise I won't lose too much". Haha! She's just commenting because she loves you. That's all. However since we have to live in our bodies we are always the ones with the final say. If you feel you can go for more then do that. It's always nice to have a little wiggle room, so if you run off course you can catch it before gaining too much. <3
  15. Growth won't happen until you look inside yourself, accept you're human and make changes. I don't lie to myself. I take my faults and negatives, throw it out to the Universe and like a boomerang it ALWAYS comes back to me making me stronger and more positive. <3 Good morning Vertical Sleeve Talk!! Whatever you do today, do the right thing.

  17. True maturity comes with recognizing your weaknesses and flaws. True strength comes with admitting your weaknesses and flaws, and correcting them.
  18. Heya VST!! Throwing out my every so often progress pics.. still a work in progress but I'm toning up and need to show it off! Ha! Befores: Today (well yesterday anyway!):
  19. Hi thanks I workout almost every single day. Sometimes a few hours a day, sometimes just a little bit.
  20. Hey y'all!! You're all looks simply MAGNIFFF!!! Sooo much hotness going on, thanks for sharing it with all of us. Yes!!
  21. Thanks everyone for your support! I just wanted to say... I'm 38. So, age is just a number ladies. Rock your dang thang!!! No one's gonna hold me down! Not even the inner fat girl. She's in quarantine forevva.
  22. You certainly have a LOT to look forward too.
  23. Thank you all! I'm feeling so great, and it just doesn't seem to come down from this constant high!! Life is truly truly better on the other side. Is life perfect? Of course not, but not having the fat suit on all day I have to say has made it all worth going through. Hugs!! Keep fighting every single day, and never ever give up! Wake up every morning with a new opportunity to work towards making it a great day, that is how I worked my program - and it works... it really does! Now, for the record - I have had breast augmentation and some Liposuction in my problem areas. However that is all I've had, I have NOT had any skin removal whatsoever. I do plan to in the future, so I can only imagine how amazing my results will be once I'm healed up from all that. GOOD LUCK AND BLESSINGS!!!
  24. I started serious workouts at around 4 Months post op. However I was up walking the same day, and progressed from there the entire time.
  25. Yes, me in a bikini - well kinda... haha 2 summers ago... heck, even LAST Summer I never DREAMED I'd be wearing one this year. Oh yeah! Got to wear it for the first time this weekend. I can't believe I took these pictures and I'm pasting them up. Scarrryyyyy.... lol!!! Anyway, please be kind! It's kinda a big deal. First a few befores: and Last Saturday:
