Honestly thinking this through
Short Answer: Yes I could lose the weight on my own, then bank those M's. Long Answer: Then I would take those M's and get me a VSG so I can KEEP IT OFF!!

Scale Recommendation
I think ThatDudesMom and I must have the same exact scale. It's pretty accurate too because it lines up well with my Wii and what I weigh at my Dr's office. My Dr's office has the same kind of scale that Sr. Sleever mentioned. It doesn't have any of that fancy stuff like weighted fat % or that kinda stuff. Just weighs me, which is fine. I got mine at Target. I don't remember what I paid but I know it wasn't more than $30 -- good luck!

Could use a little encouragement
Hi PlannerGirl, I'm so sorry to hear your going through a rough time with your fibroid. Just trust in your Dr's that they know what needs to be done for you. Regardless you are really doing a great job with your weight loss. 36 Lbs in two months is really really very good!! Just try as best you can to stay positive and all other things will fall into place. I have you in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us in the loop on how you're doing!

I'm adding to my list. I'm going to go back to school to study to be a Bariatric Nutritionist or for those who are Super / Morbidly Obese. I will also have a side job as a Personal Trainer. Can't wait!!!

Weight Loss & Obesity related TV Shows
I totally do understand where you are coming from. I do try to fast forward through all the annoying "commercials" especially the phony outings to Subway. What a crock!! As far as the weight re-gain, well I do believe the contestants do have a better percentage of regain than the general public, so I guess it's not all that bad. I do know though I love my chances with my sleeve the best!! RE: Ruby, it's looking like she's kicking that jerk to the curb which she needed to do from day one. He's a terrible person and I personally think he's just looking for an opportunity to be on TV and pretend her cares for her which we all can figure out (except her) that he does not. All her friends mention the fact they don't believe he has her best interest at heart at all. I hope she sticks to her guns when it comes to leaving him behind and starts kicking butt again!!

Weight Loss & Obesity related TV Shows
You are absolutely right with a lot of the reality TV shows. I guess I kind of overlook some of the bad, because I just really am interested in others stories and struggles. I find so much inspiration with them losing weight and working out a lot of their issues. I do also like to watch the documentaries as well! I always set the DVR for any I notice that are coming on. I never *not* watch any I know are airing. I will check them out, thank you!!

I'm in the CENTURY CLUB!!!
Oh, you all sure know how to make a lady feel special!!! :D Thank you all so much for your kind words and congrats... it feels so great!!! I'm just glad all my hard work is paying off (for now...haa!!) Hopefully it will last until I hit goal... well a girl can wish can't she? @hope - hang in there!!! It truly does keep getting better and better!! @Julia - I'd love to see the happy dance!! LOL - I just want to tell you that you kept me motivated to keep trying! You've been doing so awesome and I just knew I could do it too... @thin - I'm only 5'6"... so nope not really tall. Just a bit shorter than average. Why I weigh so much I'll never know. I just do... which is why I really try not to place so much emphasis on how much my goal weight should be. I will know when it's time to stop - and I will likely weigh a lot more than others who wear the same size. No biggie though!!

Weight Loss & Obesity related TV Shows
Here's another show I like: http://www.mystyle.com/mystyle/shows/toofatfor15/index.jsp Too Fat for 15... So sad to see such young kids going through this. I forced myself to not be like this when I was that age. I was ridiculed as a child for being a little overweight by someone who was supposed to be a father to me. So, it transformed into an eating disorder just to not hear the ridiculing anymore. The new season my be starting soon, and it will be interesting to see how the children are doing!

18 year old sleeve surgery
Anytime! I'm sure you will be fine. It's going to be tough, because the not eating is going to force us to take a look at ourselves from the inside out. But it surely will be worth it all in the end.

sleeved on Sept. 17,2010
Hey Sassy, we were only sleeved a few days apart. That's cool! I also went through a very terrible stall for the last 3 weeks. I've finally broken through it thank goodness!! I started logging my food religiously again, I changed my eating plan to a more well balanced with 2 hi Protein Snacks, I started logging my workouts religiously - AND - pushing my limits in them too... those things I'd say the main contributing factors in me breaking my stall. I'm down 5 Lbs in 5 days. Nothing to sneeze at!!!
-
3 days post op.
Hey Jamie, glad to see you are doing very well post op!! The pain yes is likely from gas and I even had a little bit of that myself. Of course if you feel strange about it, just be sure to contact your surgeon. Keep us updated on how you're doing!

18 year old sleeve surgery
Hi Pink, wow that's great! March 1st will definitely be here fast!! Personally, it is a little emotionally draining (at least it was for me) not being able to eat normally with my family. I really missed out on eating a lot - but you know what? Losing weight during the Holidays is something worth taking away from that experience! I've never ever done that in my entire life. So, with that - I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!

The good thing about being a slow loser
Heehee feed... I do try not to weigh when I'm not supposed to because I only get disappointed. This time it has worked in my favor!
