  1. Its gas pain. I've been walking since 1 hour after surgery. The incisions are tender but feel better rapidly. I also wanted to update you all that I finally pooped! Sorry if that's tmi but boy do I feel better! So much so that I asked to go home and they are letting me
  2. Another rough night. Not going to lie. I am in a lot of pain. I have been told I have a low pain threshold but I metabolize pain meds fast. So don't assume you will hurt this much. I say prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I am hoping they will keep me 1 extra night. I cannot manage this pain at home. That's all for now, o keep drifting off while writing.
  3. Entering night # 2 on the hospital. I've managed to keep my fluid quota of 30 ml hour with no problems. Pain meds aren't working at all. All of my pain is located in the bottom right quadrant of my abdomin. They did a bladder ultrasound and determined it to be full and causing some pain. They believe kidney stone is the culprit. I will check back in tomorrow morning. Feel free to fire off any questions. Night Night
  4. Well I think its because you can't drink anything, including water for a whole day. So by the time do drink it may sting because its letting the moisture back in. I can feel the water move into my tummy and exit the tummy and that hursts some even with pain killers. The doc and nurses all say its normal and j will improve day by day. I think so pain is worth it.
  5. Passed the leak test. Just tried my 1st sip of H20 and it stung all the way down.
  6. Rough night, and a lot of pain this morning. Had my blood work done this morning and all came back normal. Heading to my up GI for the leak test. If I pass that, then I can have H20
  7. Its 11:20. I feel better by the hour. Still having gas pain but doc have something stronger for it only issue now is waiting for the nurse to help unplug me so i can go to the bsthroom
  8. I don't remember anything about the procedure itself. I woke up and a lot of pain. Will write more when I can see and stay
  9. Thanks, I've made it to the car, teddy bear in tow. One step at a time....
  10. Good morning and thank you for all the well wishes and prayers. Just got done crying and praying in the shower. To.e to pull up my fat girl panties.....or take a calm down pill....
  11. I decided that for my own therapy and to hopefully help answer questions for others I would document my Surgery Experience. That being from the night before, all the hospital details and recovery process as it happens. Some background info: I am a 31 year old married mom of 2. I work full time and I am a foster parent. I have been at least 100 pounds overweight for 15 years with a little yo yo in between. My weight tonight on my home scale is 235 lbs. I am 5' 2". I have no co morbidities I finished a 2 week diet of 2 shakes, and a healthy meal at night. I did cheat 2-3 times. Today I am on full clear liquids. Chicken broth, jello, tea, Beef Broth, ext. I was hungry but it wasn't too bad. I kept myself busy. Of course I am nervous about my sleeve tomorrow for a million reasons. I have to be at the hospital for 6 am. So it is now 9:30pm, I've taken 2 ambien and I'm off to lala land. I will check in tomorrow on the way to the hospital. Sweet Dreams Fellow Sleevers.
  12. Thank you so much! Besides my husband the only other support I have is my forum family. So thank you. Your prayers and support mean the world to me and give me strength.
  13. I'm 12 hours until showtime. I hope you are recovering well
  14. Talked to the nurse she said its likely the nerves and liquid diet. I have no fever and only vomited once. Just queasy and Nervous! Exactly 12 hours to go.
  15. It is just the policy of the center I go to. It is a Bariatric Center of Excellence so I'd say they know what they are doing. The meal had to be lean protein & veggies. I was also allowed a veggie or fruit in between shakes. They said that the diet shrinks your liver but also keeps you nutritionally sound. But today is Jello, broth, juice, popsicles ect.
  16. I'm with you Jill, 6am. I think I will be going to be shortly so not to drive myself crazy.
  17. I had 2 weeks of 2 protein shakes and 1 meal per day. Today is my day before surgery and I'm on all clear liquids. Water, Broth, Jello ect. Trying to keep myself busy so I can ignore my growling tummy. I also plan to go to bed nice and early. I have to be at the hospital at 6 am.
  18. I don't know if its nerves or what's up but I just vomited. Anyone else experience this prior to surgery? I'm on clear liquids all day and have just been queasy.
  19. Me too! I'm up to my ears in broth and cleaning like a mad woman to keep me busy. The nerves are getting to me.
  20. Its 2am. I'm scared and my stomach is a wreck just from the anxiety. I go in Tuesday at 6 am. Just afraid something will go wrong and my baby boys won't have their Mommy. I'm low risk, no health problems besides the weight. Still no rational discussion with myself seems to put me at ease. Especially when I look at their little faces. Feeling alone.
  21. Im scheduled for December 3rd. I go in at 6am. Tomorrow I will be doing my grocery shopping and making different broths to enjoy post op. Monday I will clean and make myself a "recovery nest" as well as pack for the hospital. Today is the 1st day I've been anxious. I ate more than I wanted during Thanksgiving and I'm afraid if it will impact my surgery. I also drank a bit of wine. Although I'm only required a full clear liquid diet the day prior I am doing 2 days to help ease my fears. I am just ready to be on the other side already. I hope my husband is going to bring his A game. I need him.
  22. I met a guy who took plain vanilla shakes and the got different flavors of sugar free jello powder (pistachio, bandanna, pimkin ect) he would keep them in salt shakers and sprinkle them on the vanilla shakes so he would have different flavors. Thought that was a cool idea
