Anyone sleeved this week?
- Anyone sleeved this week?
Looking for perspective from those just out. How are you doing. Ups and downs? Pain level? Mood?- December Surgeries!?!?!?
I think they are trying to weed out people who are obviously unstable. If you need more help they will advise you for counseling before you can move forward. Mine told me right at the appointment "your all set, I will give you the green light". Just ask.- 6 Friggin pounds!
I am on 2 shakes and a lean cuisine or salad w chicken for supper. Been doing that for a week. The scale hasnt moved. I guess I need to up the exercise. Idk- December Surgeries!?!?!?
If I can lose 6 stupid f'ing lbs I will be bumped up to November and avoid a 4k deductible.- 6 Friggin pounds!
Ok 2 weeks, 6 pounds. Seriously it takes me a year to lose 5!- 6 Friggin pounds!
Starvation brings on stupidity!- 6 Friggin pounds!
That is all standing between me and my surgery date. My next appointment to weigh in is Thursday 10/31. I have 5 days to lose 6lbs. I'm at 2 shakes and 1 meal a day. Any suggestions to help make weight would be appreciated! I have pcos so the weight sticks. If it matters Im 5'2" 233lbs.- December Surgeries!?!?!?
- December Surgeries!?!?!?
We are in the same boat for sure. The psych eval was hilarious. They showed me ink blots, they all looked like bats to me hahaha- Alcohol and Sleevers
- December Surgeries!?!?!?
Every second! I had another appointment today. All steps are completed. 6lbs left to lose. Next appointment is Oct 31. If I am down the 6lbs they will schedule me with the surgeon and I will get my date. Its surreal. I was also told I am cleared for the sleeve even though I have a hernia. I'm excited but terrified for the actual surgery. I will def need my forum buddies to survive! xx- December Surgeries!?!?!?
Minimum of 60g a day. In the beginning it is impossible to get that in without some sort of protein supplement (added powder or shake). Once you move to the next phases you always eat protein 1st to make sure you get enough. If you eat a veggie or starch first you may get too full to fit the protein.- December Surgeries!?!?!?
Anyone want to share their stats? (Some already have) I'm interested in getting to know my fellow December-ers (made that word up! Lol) I am 30 yr old Female from the Northeast, 5'2", Highest weight 248. Started this journey at 237, current weight 234, goal weight 130. Struggling for 15 years.- December Surgeries!?!?!?
Premier is good, tastes like muscle milk but its less expensive and has more Protein. The vanilla is like cake batter. I just sampled a whole bunch at my support group, the only other one I likes was Isopure. Its good if you get sick of the thick milky shakes. Its more like juice. I tried grape. It has 40g of protein but its like 5 bucks a bottle. But hey if you are not eating food and it gets you through for 2 weeks then I'd say its worthwhile.- December Surgeries!?!?!?
- Hiatal Hernia and the sleeve?
Not a dumb question at all. Its stands for Roux-en-Y aka bypass- Hiatal Hernia and the sleeve?
I met up with someone from my mandatory classes who happened to just walk out of her appointment with her surgeon. She was told that she had the same hernia and that they will now do rny instead because of it. It was explained that revisions are done because of issues with the sleeve and hernia. I'm just trying to wrap my head around rny instead of sleeve. I will find out on Tuesday for sure.- December Surgeries!?!?!?
I have 3yr & 4yr adopted children. Im afraid of it being in December in case god forbid there is a complication. I need to be home with my family, not in a hospital. SW 238 CW 234 (10 more to go and I will be scheduled).- Surgery in the morning
Good luck to you. Just breathe. Keep us posted on how you are feeling xx- 8/21/13 Gastric Bypass Story
Thank you for sharing in such great detail. I love facts! I am scheduled for December and also have Pcos. I'm curious how you have progressed since your last post above. Are doing better with the protein?- December Surgeries!?!?!?
I'm a December RNY too! I just have to shed 10 lbs. All my appointments are done except the 2nd half of the psych eval and meeting with the surgeon. My appointment for that is in November. How is everyone doing with pre-op weight loss? That's the hardest part for me. I "only" have to lose 14lbs. 2.5 months in and I'm only down 3 :/- Terrified of the procedure itself!
I don't have my date yet. I will find out in a few weeks. Its looking like the beginning of December.- Terrified of the procedure itself!
- Terrified of the procedure itself!
I've wrapped my mind around the before and after preparations. And I am as educated as one can be about life after surgery but the actual procedure, letting someone go inside my body and rewire my plumbing is freaking me out! Any wise words? Especially from those fresh out would be helpful. Its the only thing I'm struggling with. Pain I can handle. But the operating table is giving me major anxiety. Thanks :/ - Anyone sleeved this week?
