  1. I got a magic bullet and you can put anything in there and it mushes it up and its amazing!! Ive been on grilled barbecue chicken and barbecue pork and I love it because im not going crazy eating the same darn things!
  2. Im a little over a week post op and I went through the depressed stage too and i thought I was the only one! I thought why did I do this? I cant sleep and the pain isnt worth it! I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldnt eat what my family was eating and I only had a few choices of what I could eat...I was miserable but I got through it. I got switched to "mushies" and went back to work in the same day and I feel so much better and cant wait to truly start losing! Im so sorry for what your going through...I hope things get better for you!
  3. I drink a protein shake for breakfast. Even if its only half of one (because im not a breakfast eater...never have been) but it works and keeps me going so even if you dont feel hungry maybe that could help so u can at least get ur protein in
  4. Wow I was one clear liquids for 1 day, full liquids for 4 days and then "mushies" for 2 weeks then solids...I would die being on clear or even full liquids for that long! Best of luck!
  5. So I got switched to mushies today and as sad as it is im extremely excited!! I went and bought the magic bullet and got some stuff to mush up and I cant wait...I kinda splurged and went to kfc and got a small mashed potatoes and gravy....not the best choice considering its not that healthy but it was amazing! Andddd ive lost 11 lbs!! Not too much but enough to make this girl a happy camper any suggestions on what you guys have made for your mushy stage? I dont wanna eat the same things all the time and get tired of it! So any ideas would be greatly appreciated
  6. Im so so sorry, I had a dog for 17 years and I was 18 when she passed so I didnt remember life without her. We too had to put her down. It was devastating. Pets become family and unless you own a pet you dont understand the true connection amd love for that pet. I love my baby girl kassie and Idk what I would do if I lost her let alone make that decision. My heart is with you ♡
  7. That sounds awesome! Yes ide love to see it!
  8. I agree on the gas pains..it made me miserable. I used a heating pad and icy hot and over the counter gas relief chewable tablets and they worked better then the pain meds! Of course ask ur dr about taking ovc meds before u use them. U will do great! Good luck!
  9. Good luck!! I had my surgery last week and I feel great!! The worst part for me was coming out of anesthesia and not knowing what was going on lol I cried and begged for my mother. But after she got there I was fine!
  10. I love tattoos! I have 5 but they are all in simple places like my ankles and foot..ive been picky on where I get it because of my weight but I am using a new tattoo as a reward when I lose 100 lbs...I wanna get one on my shoulder. I never got one there because im too self conscious to wear a tank top and whats the point of a tattoo if u cant show it off right? Congrats on the dress and the new look! I cant wait til I get to the point where I can shop for smaller clothes! Reading these stories inspire me even more! What is ur tattoo going to be?
  11. Thanks guys. I know throwing up is dangerous thats why I posted this. Im certainly not trying to throw up. Anyways ill take your advice and start sipping. Thanks so much
  12. So im 4 days post op and im only drinking liquids and protein shakes...now I drink a lot of water and I keep throwing up! Its only liquids! Im allowed to have full liquids but the soup and pudding make me feel nauseous so I have the protein shakes to replace them. I have 2-3 a day plus like 4-5 bottles of water per day. Am I drinking too much? I just feel thirsty more then I feel hungry so im constantly drinking. I dont see my doctor til Monday so I havent had the chance to speak with him about it. I threw up twice today and twice yesterday and its only happening at night. Im kinda freakin out about it!
  13. Congrats!! I had my surgery last Tuesday and I just wanna say the worst part of recovery for me was the gas pains so I would just suggest some gas relief tablets..I got walmart brand and they are chewables and they work fantastic!! I also got icyhot for the muscle pains in my shoulders because the gas makes the shoulders hurt and it has worked great! I dont know if anyone else had the same experience but based on mine this has worked even more then the prescribed pain meds. Good luck on your journey!!
  14. Thanks so much. Im feeling a little better after all the advice, I am on pain medication hydrocodone/acetaminophen liquid..it doesnt really help with pain it just makes me wanna nap and then I wake up in pain! I have been using icy hot on my shoulders, back, and side and its been doing wonders! I also use the heating pad when im lying down and an ice pack on my stomach cause my incisions are a little painful. Also I think I may have had a reaction to the bandages they put on the incisions cause I took them off yesterday and where the tape was its red and bumpy and extremely itchy!! Im trying to deal with the best I can..today has been mostly protein shakes. I also dont really feel hungry at all today but then out of no where I get a stomach ache and get the "I need to eat right this second or ill puke" feeling. Is this normal?
  15. Okay so im 3 days post op and im extremely depressed! I have a wierd fear that im not healing correctly, yesterday I ate some soup and I think I over ate so now I do not want to eat anything because the thought of any food makes me feel nauseous and im starving!, I started my vitamins and got the ones the doctor suggested and it got a little stuck and I can still feel it in my chest, and im extremely constipated and ive used stool softener, a laxative, and apple cider because apple cider always makes me have to go.. I feel lost and I couldnt sleep last night because I couldnt stop crying and im starting to regret this surgery because I feel awful! Wahhh!!!
  16. So tomorrow I start my full liquid diet and im not sure what to eat! What did u guys eat?
  17. Thats crazy, I started my diet on 9/16 because my surgery was scheduled for 10/1 well there was an issue with my job switching insurance so they moved my surgery up to 9/24 and didnt even check my weight although I had lost 9 lbs. But I have seriously never heard of that...wierd
  18. Yea im using it on my neck where it hurts the most with a towel over it
  19. Its not like red or warm to the touch it just burns when im walking like the burning feeling of getting a tattoo...I cant take the bandage off til tomorrow to get a better look at it. Im just feeling depressed because I feel like the pain is never gonna go away and im never going to sleep again! Its worse then I thought it was gonna be. Its either my incision or my shoulder but when im walking it definitely my incision with the burning feeling. If I hold my stomach there its a little better but im freaking out!
  20. Omg I was hungry right after surgery! Craving a big ol cheeseburger. So I come home a few hours later and my family was eating fried chicken! I about killed them! So trust me your not the only one and I may be worse cause as soon as I woke up the nurse said "how are you feeling" I said "im hungry!" And she laughed so it sucks but its something we will learn to live with. We can still have our favorite foods once we get to solids we just gotta cook them differently
