  1. Linda, This will probably be one of the hardest things you will ever do... but have faith! YOU CAN DO IT!!!! So many have done this, and so can you! I once read that it was easier for someone to quite a cocaine addiction then a tobacco addiction... YOU CAN DO IT!!!
  2. Alex, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this place. You are the best .
  3. ((((HUGS)))) God bless you~
  4. Here's hoping you are all having a great time - especially Vines, You deserve it, girl! (psst, I dont think she's telling us the truth about her real weight. She's actually much smaller then she says.) Lisa, you are awesome to open your home for everyone for this wonderful event. A big (((hug))) goes out to you and Chris. Everyone looks fantastic!!!
  5. (((hugs))) awe Nicole, I wish there was something I could say or do to make this better. Like Penni and many others, I have never had to experience this sorrow. I hope you find the slightest bit of consolation in knowing you have a perfectly beautiful soul sitting at our Father's right hand recommending you and hubby to His grace and mercy. From my heart, I pray for you...
  6. Renebean, I get that "sorry" screen after I read just one of my 3 pages of new posts. Kinda aggravating Ive tried clicking off of LBT and coming back to see if that works, but no, I still get the "sorry" screen. The only thing that works is clicking the back button... many times!
  7. Hi Alex, Sorry to say, but Im still not receiving any notices. Also, Ive noticed that many times after I have replied to a thread and press the "New Post" button, I have a page that says something like, "Sorry, no match to your request". This is a new page that I have not noticed prior to the past 2 weeks. Thanks for your concern in all of this.
  8. Hi luvebugg, Sorry, I cant really help about the ticker since I dont have one. I wanted to respond since we have the same surgeon. How are you doing since your 2nd fill?
  9. My mouth is open... what a cutie pie! My son is in 4th grade -and Ive taken a picture of him every year on the first day of school. So very special!!! gosh, a senior? time goes by so fast!

Walking away the Pounds tape is awesome - but I seemed to get bored with it rather quickly. Maybe if I could find the music (like you did) I could create my own walking exercise routine.
  11. I can have fries from anywhere, as long as I wait until the very end of my meal to have them. Only 1 at a time though, and like Megan, they must have some type of sauce on them. I try to look for the crispy ones instead of the softer ones... and definately cant have more then a few! They just wont get past my band.

I just noticed those dead palms on my side... ugh! Thats horrible looking - and to know that they are sitting on my front porch!
  13. Know the ole' cliche, "better safe then sorry"? You get a thumbs up for doing the right thing! I sure wish Id get your motivation to become a good bandster... Im in great need of a swift kick in the arse!
  14. Here is a before and after. 1st one taken in June 04, about a month before WLS. 2nd taken today, Sept. 05. Nearly 70lbs lighter.

Here is me and BeBe (Philip). My 9yr old took this picture!
  16. Hope you are having a fantastic day - Happy Birthday!
  17. What wonderful pics! In all honesty, I wanna be in your family. Everyone is happy, you know? Not many families are this way. And Eli is a ham!!! What a cutie! The pic of you and your mom, what an awesome picture of you two. Youve inspired me to take a shot with my mom. Something so special to have for years to come. Thank you so much for sharing these.
  18. Estela, Please update us as soon as she gets the results. Have peace girl, and know that everything is for a reason.
  19. Vines, How funny! But I can certainly relate! When I told my best friend that I was going to Galveston to meet with folks I had met via on-line, she thought I was NUTS! Actually, her response made me second guess my own decision to go. But needless to say, I loved my visit with those wonderful women. Never regretted it for a moment. A weekend that I will remember forever. Its just a reminder that there are still good people out there.
  20. Im gonna get real here. When I went for my consultation, my surgeon asked me what weight I wanted to see. My response was 175. He suggested me go for 150. I was in awe - Ive NEVER been 150 after the age of 12. SO, back to MY original goal... I want to lose 5 pounds in this challenge (but 10 would be fine with me too). This would put me at my MY original goal weight. The heck with getting to 150, I just wanna see 175 (for now)!
  21. Hi Donna, glad to have ya! So, where ya from and who did your surgery? WELCOME Friend!
  22. That is awesome, John! And you are so right regarding the kids benefiting from it as well. This afternoon I rode my 9yr olds bike. We had such simple fun - he even stood on the foot pegs and we BOTH went for a ride. This is living - what life is all about.
  23. Christine, sorry for your LBT troubles Yes! hair loss IS normal. There is a TON of info that has been shared on this forum about hairloss. Too many for me to locate and copy/paste the links. My OBGYNs office recommended me try a Vitamin called Biotin. You can find it at Walmart - something like $4 a bottle, cheap! His nurse was taking it and raved about it helping her hair and nails grow (faster and stronger). I bought a bottle, but havent taken 1, so I cant say if this is the magic cure!
  24. Karen, So glad you have updated us. After the -.3cc's was removed, you had to have more taken out? Yikes girl! Youve had a rough week. So now you are totally unfilled? hungry?
