  1. We're doing great! No more doggie tricks (pooping in the yard) - thank you, God. I cant even remember the last time he had an accident. The only minor aggravation is when he poops in the toilet, he jumps off the seat to LOOK at it. He takes a peek, then wiggles back on it to do more. Another plop, then off to look. Back on for more. This could last a good 15 minutes. :tired :tired :tired He fusses at me saying, "I NOT FINISHED, MOM" Way to go everyone on your success!!
  2. J 185 / G 150/ C 182.2 (-65.8 lbs total) -2.2 for the week. No biggie. Just had a couple of good bm's, thats all. (tmi, sorry) Im actually scared to post it... we'll see what its gonna be in a month.
  3. Hey Guys... I just heard that the DFW area hit 101. Goodness, you people have had a time. Torential floods, now the heat? Speaking of flooding, anyone know an ancient raindance that works? We are SO dry that the ground is cracked (everywhere) . we need rain. bad. very bad.
  4. What fantastic news! I guess I hadnt put things together and just figured that he was already banded. Yoo Hoo, Shack.... Welcome to bandland! And Susan, between your SV AND NSV's, Girl - you are kicking some major buttttt!!!!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: The challenge sounds good. But the no-sugar thing scared me. Think Im gonna watch the game from the sideline. :biggrin1: Iza neeed my suga, Mz Susan. :biggrin1:

wow y'all.... I really liked most of them. Chris WAS awesome! Taylor, Paris, and Katharine - WOW! I agree, Elliot, Ace and of coarse - Miss Kelli - are my pick of the bottom 3. But Katharine gave me chills. She needed a great night!
  6. I would LOVE to be part of this day... but May is out for me. Maybe later in the summer you guys can have another one?? Im in Lake Charles Louisiana - 3 hours east of Spring. Also, Im one that would need to stay over night.
  7. thats an idea!

Stevie, Kenny, Barry, Queen, NOW Rod Stewart? so outdated. Goodness, they are truly diggin up bones. Most of these kids have no idea who any of these singers are. Goes back to what Mikey said about the producers needing to pick more current artist to help - INSTEAD of these older/retired ones. ...Rod Stewart???
  9. Heather, Dylansmom was the one that started the Di Vinci thread - and she deleted it because it was getting out of hand.

What are they singing tonight? anyone know?
  11. I noticed it too Crys. We need Scooby's Mystery Machine to solve this one.
  12. I just took a big breath of relief. Yes, that IS good news. I know this is a hard and tiring trip - but its the cost of your overall health that is MOST expensive. Good move, Girl! About the size of the infection... whether its the size of a pencil tip - OR a dime, there is still an infection too close to your port to NOT worry about. If this would be on your toe, arm, face - then that wouldnt be as alraming to the band. But this "dime" sized spot could be a canyon inside. Thank you for calling your doc! :clap2:
  13. WooHoo Alexra! ANYONE that loses 100+ pounds in a year should be in a Lapband Hall of Fame! That is amazing! Happy Band-day!
  14. I certainly dont want to steal the thread with my reply here, but... What in the world are you doing? We must ALL go through these 4 weeks of hunger - and the 4th week is a hunger from hell. But weve all survived it. I would think that eating a 6 inch sub is extremely dangerous for a 3 week banded tummy. Please let your doctor know what is going on. Also - Ive heard that for some newly banded folks, their surgeon prescribes them diet pills to help them get through this period. This may be an option for you. Good luck!

how funny... your RealAge results almost sounds like a computer mom. LOL Which is just what we all need :biggrin1:
  16. Trish, I know its difficult, but I dont like all the problems youve had with youre band doctor. Seems like this journey has been one thing after another - now THIS? Im thinking you need to find a NEW band doctor - maybe someone closer to your home??? Most of the time surgeons will take on patients that are having troubles (because it could pose a risk to their health). Do you have any type of bariatric surgeon closer to you? Girl, Im sending you all the love and prayers - you cant possibly imagine how much!
  17. I just read up on it. My mom has type 2 diabetes. Looks like its taken WITH the regular diabetic meds (not a substitute). This makes me think that - that's why its not used for weightloss alone. ? Pati-o, wonder WHY the queezy stomach? Thats certainly not a fair way to lose weight. Im gonna try doing a larger search then the link that Elizabeth gave (btw, thanks Eliz.!) and see if I can find the list of side effects.
  18. by the way... where the heck is your avator?
  19. My big question is, am I FULL (had enough) or is something stuck. Been banded long enough to know this, but dont. I eat. Get the stuck/full feeling. Sometimes I feel the food move through - then I continue eating (maybe this is the beginning of MY pouch packing?) . Sometimes the food doesnt move through so fast, then I wait it out. Just like Banded said, Im the wrong person to answer this one!

Specific medications and brands can alter our life span. Especially the different heart meds. And regarding the church question; Ive just read where those that have some type of daily/weekly devotion's can gain a different out look on situations. This *possibly* resulting in lower stress levels, meaning less likely for heart problems... get the picture? On the other hand, maybe it IS a survey. ??? But I liked the final result that was emailed to me giving me a list of specific Vitamins to take for stomach problems; for replacing certain veggies that I dont consume; even gave me different cardio exercises to start doing (since I have a family history -mother- of heart problems) that would strengthen my heart that would add a longer time on this earth. Thanks everyone for the feed back. It was kinda neat reading my results. Better then any doctor exam Ive ever had!

Since MOST of us around here are seeking a better life, you may be interested in taking this test to find out what you need to increase your health. Tons of questions, so make sure you have a little time to answer them all. Lots of specific and personal ones too. Vitamins were my main decline in age!
  22. ahhh - nope! Doesnt look good enough for me to give you a free & clear pass. I didnt like it on the 10th - and even though it looks a weeeee (and I do mean tee-tiny) bit smaller and less red today, I still dont like the way it looks. Did the doctor say it was staphe?
  23. Cheri, Love the title. :biggrin1: :biggrin1: Congrat's on losing your child... LOL. ((I feel funny saying that. ha!) Hope that everytime you pick him up - you breath a sigh of relief! :clap2:
  24. awe, I certainly remember those feelings! Just take it one day at a time. Itll be here before you know. Hey - our starting stats are nearly the same! Im 5'5, and started at 248. Ill have to post a current picture of myself so you can see what 180ish will look like. (((At this point Im able to wear most size 12 pants depending on the brand. And since I have big bazoomba - my shirt size is a xl -or a 1x.))) So, 185 and you should be in a 12/xl too. :biggrin1:
  25. lets see.... my kids have been eating their bunny candy for a full hour. Think they'll have a sugar crash soon? Im ready to go back to bed. :notagree Happy Easter to you too!
