  1. Gadgetlady got the same instructions as me... 6 weeks - no soaking in a tub, no swimming. It was hard, but I made it!
  2. Gettinghealthy, PB and vomit are different. A PB means Productive Burp. When your pouch gets too full OR youve eaten something that cant sqeeze itself past the little stoma (for me this is tortillia's) these things must come back up. Its not nearly as gross as vomit. Vomit contains stomach acid. A PB is just chewed food (hasnt gone to the stomach yet).
  3. Trish, Without going back through old threads, please refresh my failing memory as to HOW your leak was found?

Crystal - I saw Candysmooch post something yesterday? or day before. So at least we know she's ok! Just wanted to let you know. Kathy, Daisydoodle has a little muffin baking right now.... you knew this, right? I see her around seldom (very seldom). Im digging up bones here, but what ever happened to RachelRoses? remember her? maybe she changed her name too - and Ive never figured it out!
  5. May 25th cant come fast enough! Although, Im worried about that port infection. :phanvan You know, LBT's history with port infections hasnt been very positive. :nervous MEGA (((hugs))) - I applaud you for being SO darn positive! :clap2:
  6. MY GAWD Diane! My jaw just dropped. You LOOK like youve lost 100 pounds - not 55!!!! You look awesome!
  7. Sue, Wonderful thread. Its definatley something to ponder... Why can Michelle DO IT, and yet, others struggle to maintain?!?! Maybe she DOES struggle as much?? I like what Elizabeth said... which is what I was thinking. I dont have anything interesting to add. But I do want to keep up with this thread.
  8. Hi and WELCOME to LBT! Here is a great link to the different food stage ideas. http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=3995 I would imagine packing a small ice chest with a couple of protien shakes will be good enough. You can always stop for Water at the convience store - when your in need of stretching your legs! Wow - youre gonna have a loooong journey home. Good luck! That May 16 date will be here before you know it!
  9. Trish, We're really worried about you, Girl. Have you taked to the surgeons office yet? Please update us!!!!
  10. Hey Little one... By the time you see this message from us, you should be banded. WELCOME to the Band Wagon!

Actually I DID! I left Marcus(10) and Anne (5) alone for 10 minutes EXACTLY (timed it on the car clock) - Bebe came with me. The only reason we were ok with doing this was because the kids are so used to these short deliveries - they knew it wouldnt take long. They were fine - I was fine. No harm done. Truly the beginning of teaching THIS kind of responsibility. None of us are ready (at this point) for longer stretches though. These quick 5 -15 minutes errands are enough for now. This is really a giant step for us. One more idea... I think girls are more mature/responsible for these types of jobs then boys are (at this age).
  12. Jess, wow - Id love to have your 'before' body. Thanks for doing this for us. It sure helps chickens like me get an idea of what PS CAN do. (((BIG HUGS))) for a wonderful recovery, and a high-five for the educating!
  13. Look how sweet! Ive never seen a newborn rabbit. And like Megan said - a week before Easter. What an amazing experience for young kids to have (seeing animals give birth). Do you have any other animals? And tell your little boy that Cupcake is ALMOST as cute as him! :biggrin1:
  14. Jamie, Gosh, sorry about that!! Our area McDonalds have several computer/internet stations set up in their lobby or their customer to use. Thought this was an American thing? maybe not.

    Leatha, :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: I love that quote! :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: Everytime I think of it, I chuckle. ...and I DO miss you.
  16. Funny how so many of us wanted to be teachers. I guess it was our first role model? a teacher a runway model (the skinny anorexic one) write childrens books nurse interior decorator I am none of the above. (HA! espeically the modeling thing)

Shawn, I absolutely agree with this statement...

I really liked Mandesa. Thought she had probably the best female voice - if not the best voice in this years competition. And I -also- thought she signed her papers with the religious song 2 weeks ago... and this is coming fom someone who primarily listens to this 'type' of music. Didnt think it had a thing to do with her weight.

Duh - Paula, where have YOU been? So thats the "bag" lady! dumb ass me. Ive been seeing the bagged avator and knew it was a new one around here.... its Heather! Hi Heather. :biggrin1:

Well, Nana is still around. She deleted everything for security reasons - thats understandable. And Christine/Ill Succeed & Jamie/Jammin&Losin also reported in. WOO HOO! So glad to see you guys. We were getting worried. Crystal, Ive noticed that Candysmooches is quiet too. What about HeatherGurl? I cant even find her profile. strange. Its like she's vanished.
  21. Keri - love the way you told us . At this point - Im too scared to get any kind of test. Im sure a "stretched pouch" would be in my diagnosis. Just wondering though, I was under the impression that a stretched pouch was the same as a slip. Obviously not true. I like the questions Leenerbups asked. Can it re-tighten if you go back to liquids? Im curious to find the answer.
  22. OMG.... its JAMIE!!!! Gosh ~ weve missed you. http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=16862 So very sorry to hear about your FIL. He must have been young? How IS your hubby doing? And a whopping 96 pounds? GIRL! You must be skin and bones by now. Yep - Im with Kathy, WE NEED PICTURES! Dont stay gone so long, K? Doesnt your McD's have internet???? :biggrin1:
  23. Reminds me of the time LBT members were discussing (jokingly) getting a lobatomy (sp?). *Our eating problems have nothing to do with the stomach* So (big question here) why hasnt modern medicine invented something for our brains - to aleviate eating disorders? ..and maybe they have and those unfortunate select few are not able to tell the tale... (((Im being too analytical here- sorry)))

I actually laughed out loud on that one! Sounds like my Anne's kind of fun! My 10 yr old IS responsible. But just like the article and others said - it depends on the kid! Although Im NOT referring to "babysitting", just being home alone for a very small amount of time.
  25. Hey Shontel! Thats a major milestone - THE date! So close, and yet, seems like it'll never get here. Thanks for sharing the great news!
