  1. I was banded on September 27th and am down 17 pounds! So excited. I started mushies 5 days ago and was concerned the weight loss would stop, but so far it's still coming off. My main focus is letting my tummy and insides heal from surgery but the weight loss is a great motivator! I have never once felt like I made a mistake or like I was being cheated. I wanted this, I worked hard to get approval and I plan to use this tool to help me be the healthier, fittest Carrie I can be! 9 more lbs and I will be smaller then I have been in 12 years!
  2. I had a huge hiatal hernia repair done when I was banded the 27th. Only difference was more pain and I have to stay out of the gym longer.

  4. I wonder if it is the protein shake. I know we talked last night about me struggling to get all my protein in. Whatever it is I will take it!

  6. I could have puréed baby food (which I didn't cuz, well yuck) on the mushie stage. Full liquids was only Protein shakes, thinned yogurt, thinned mashed potatoes and everything on stage 1. Every doc is different and will reckoned different foods.

  8. Does anyone else notice they have "full" days where they can't eat much and "hungry" days where they can eat well over a cup of they wanted to? I have even starving every 2 hours this last few days and today I had a protein shake for breakfast and tried to drink a cup of coffee, but am so full I feel nauseous just sipping on it. Took well over an hour to get my 12 oz of preteen down.

  10. Information meeting in end of July banded end of September. Could have been sooner but I wanted to work with my hubby's schedule.

  12. Don't be embarrassed! You didn't go out and eat a whole pizza. You thought you were doing the right diet progression and are making healthy choices. :-)

  14. Did your doctor give you a food stage list with suggestions? I was allowed thinned cream of wheat at day 3 but not everyone's doc is the same. Mine is pretty relaxed about the stages of liquids to full liquids to soft foods.

  16. I am still on mushies, but my doc said as long as I don't feel any problems (like throwing up, pain, pbing) to keep progressing thru the stages a few days at a time as I feel hungrier and hungrier. I would stick to the mushies and call the doc Monday just to let them know.

  18. Which list have you been eating off of? And which were you supposed to be on?

  20. Hahha. Gagging at the thought. That really is a gross saying.
  21. The mushie faze I mean not the not being able to binge.
  22. I think if I could eat "normal" proteins and have a chicken salad or something substantial I would be more able to deal. But I knew what I signed up for and this is just temporary.
