  2. Thanks for the tips It's funny how my worry went from "oh no I have to wear a swimsuit" to "oh no I have to eat". I'm going to have this laugh then have a good time.
  3. So I'm going on a cruise with a group of people that I have not discussed my journey with. What and how do I eat without being outed? I'm feeling like I'm in my green zone right now but I know the environment will be challenging. I know it sounds silly but I do not want a pb or stuck episode to become the topic of conversation. I really just want to have a good time and enjoy my current success of 45lbs down. I'm hoping to be at the milestone of 50lbs by then so I don't want to remove any fluid. Am I over thinking?
  4. I know what you mean. I have alarms set for meals and water. I notice when 4 hours pass I get a gassy feeling where my tummy or back starts hurting.
  5. Great idea! Add me too milliekay193
  6. Got my band 12/4. 1st follow up 12/10. 1st Fill 12/26. So far, so good! I'm feeling great. Started at 265. Surgery day 257. Follow up 247. First fill 248. Wowwwwww only 1 pound after a holiday! I'm loving this. No pain, no pb; just learning to listen to my band.
  7. I'm glad you asked because I've been experiencing the same thing. I call it my plumbing, lol. I eat, I walk around for a bit, then flush out comes super belch. Hahaaaa! No pain just silly noise.
  8. Wow! Day 4 was incredible. I woke up thinking I would still be suffering. Nope. I felt great. I even went for 2 walks 15 minutes each. No pain meds needed.
  9. Thanks Bandsters! I'm feeling much better now. Actually the more I move the better I feel. The gas is starting to subside and the soreness is decreasing.
  10. Thanks everybody! It's nice to have this support system.
  11. Im having major pain in my shoulders and I have a bit of a headache. What can I do?
  12. Dec 4th!!! Anxiety is kicking in. Is it strange that they haven't told me what time my surgery is yet? Also I'm hearing that it's odd that I'm not on a liquid pre-op diet....
  13. Soon to be banded. I tried transitioning slowly but got tired of the in between thing. I'm sort of an all or nothing kind of person. I just did the chop. I switch it up between sew ins and Havana twist. As my hair gets longer I will begin twist outs.
  14. Glad for your your good news Love Bug. You seem to be off to a good start.
  15. Hi I'm Millie Kay, I'm set to be banded Dec 4th 2013. As I have discussed my decision with a chosen few people in my life I've received a variety of responses. The best explanation I have for the nay sayers and the haters is this is about Me and it's for Me. I've done my due diligence in research and I believe I'm ready. I'm glad this community is here for support, I'm going to need it. I start my pre-op diet tomorrow and the eye rolling has already began, lol. I'm not going to let it break my stride because It's Me that matters right now
  16. Who's with me? Any ideas on how long I need to take off work?
  17. I'm approved and I'm scheduled for surgery Dec 4th 2013. It took a while trying to get my medical history because I haven't had regular doctor visits. But now I'm on my way to getting back to the "Real Me" Woohoooo!
