  1. Good job BB, mountain biking is WAY HARDER than road biking...by a long shot!!
  2. So, you ARE older than you are letting on then? By, like, a million years??
  3. The US what????? Yes, I have Netflix...silly girlies........but I like to ride and get my exercise...geeesshhhhhhhhh

  5. Hey the wasting gas part was good huh?
  6. Oh, now you have to have me rolling on the floor again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Video stores where i live...............that is a good one....well, of course there are silly, we just have to ride the horse and buggy to get to them!!!!!!!!!
  7. Oh good, I thing we all need to read posts and be reminded of where we have come from.....
  8. who's....those WERE the good old days.....when we could all only ride 5 miles and then die for a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Last but not least, J, appears......
  10. This one about had me on the ground laughing. I remember this one, like it was yesterday.....here BG does 1.5 miles last year at this time....this year she is biking across Michigan on a week long bike ride.....how stinkin' amazing is all that????? You should be super uber proud. I heart you!
  11. BG appears to the thread!!!
  12. Gotta love the very first posts of the "oldies" here!!! HP sounds off her first post on the famous bycylying thread The all too famous and missed terribly, JC...
  13. Oh, I don't know, J, we usually don't let anything come naturally around here do we???
  14. HP, what you riding today???
  15. loveangel, I just reread your post. We don't have bike paths or routes here either. We make our own.
  16. Almost to 500 pages, just sayin'....
  17. Bg, I was wondering because of your goal, that is about where the doc says I should be and I am 5'7"..... I hooked up my bike to the trainer yesterday, but when I do that the front tire does not move, so I don't know how many miles I went. I did it for an hour, so I just played it safe and say I went 10 miles. It was probably more like 20, but since I don't know for sure, I didn't want to over calculate, for HP's sake, ya know??? Have a family meeting tonight to plan in laws 40th anniversary party, so not sure how much riding i will get in tonight. Life is getting in the way of my riding.
  18. loveangel, you will definitely get there, you are doing great!!
  19. Yeah, same as cycling, the sweat is a killer, but at least it is not slapping around as I ride, and even if it were, no one would hear it. Long, what is your age, if I might ask??
  20. Are you 5'7" BG?
  21. I do not like football. Just sayin'
  22. I truly honestly have not had a piece of bread for 15 months. I am actually extremely scared to even try. I have done rice, pasta, thin pizza crust, crackers, but not bread.
  23. What DO you do with the pannus as you run? That part always bugged me when running, knowing that thing was flappin' away. I bought some sort of garment that I wore, but man after awhile, it gave a stomach ache. Yes, we need to keep moving on and attain the original goal... Sometimes I can't believe I don't lose weight faster with all the biking, but then I look at what I eat, and it would be a sad day if I quit doing all the biking. Something has got to change. On the other hand...............last night we went and met friends from out of town..............when I got out of the car........they came unglued!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were all over me wanting to know how I became so skinny!! Those were the words used too!!! Now, it took quite a while to get my head back to the right size, but I told them and they were awesome about it. They didn't try to pooh-pooh it away as the easy way out!!! It was really really an awesome feeling. I hadn't seen them since last July, and I don't think they ever saw me at my biggest weight before that. Anyways, nothing like making someone feel really really good!!! I think most people who see you everyday don't even realize when you have dropped another 20 or so pounds. They are so used to seeing you this way now.
  24. oh no!!! Another war under way here for the sports addicts!!!! What????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????What, I said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two pieces of garlic bread?????????? As in the loaf kind of bread? I would not dare!
  25. A lot of people lose a lot of weight really fast. I was one of them also. Do not be upset and worry. Enjoy it. It will eventually stop coming off this fast. Promise. And don't worry about a fill if you are losing this fast. I did not get a fill for three months because I was losing so much. Its a blessing, in disguise, truly it is.
