  1. Are there any New York sleevers in Poughkeepsie/Kingston support groups?
  2. Hi- I'm working with the team of clinicians at Albany Med & am wondering if, anyone has been sleeved by Dr. Singh? I have my initial Nutrition appt this coming week. I'm curious to know what the standard process its. How many Nut appointments etc before seeking insurance approval etc?
  3. Just curious: after surgery are you eating according to hunger or schedule?
  4. Good morning! Has anyone had their surgery at Albany Medical center in NY with Dr. Paul Singh? That is who is slated to do mine. Did you know ahead of time what his stats were?
  5. Fiddleman, When were you sleeved?
  6. GERD can absolutely cause the symptoms you mentioned. Also having his Gallbladder out causes a host of digestive problems as well! Saying a prayer for him right now!
  7. Hi Nannyw3kids, I'm in the Albany Medical center program and, am wondering how your surgery went? How far along you are and anything else that you care to share?
  8. Hello fellow NY and other sleevers! I'm a newbie but have been lurking awhile! I am in the beginning stages. I had my initial workup 14 mos ago and a follow up last month. I'm in the Albany Medical Center program. Anyone else had their procedure there? I'd love to connect... Ive done a ton of research and definitely hope the sleeve will be approved by my insurance. (MEDICARE) BY the time I'm prepped and ready! I have my initial nutrition consult and education in 2 weeks. I've lost 10#s towards my necessary loss. I finally understand that its a "tool" - one of many that will help me get healthy. I look forward to moving ahead with you and receiving tips & tidbits as well as encouraging you on the journey! !
  9. I'm new here and am praying right now for peace and confidence! God is for you!
  10. I've read that Medicare is still on the fence related to the sleeve getting approved. Has anyone waited and then had to choose a different procedure? Which did you go with and why? I really want the sleeve but unless they decide favorably by the fall I'm not going to be able to have the surgery of my choice.
