1. I wish you lots of luck! some days I feel hungey like I could eat all days and others I have to make myself eat. So wierd! I have a 14cc band. I am at 9.2cc right now. Some days it feels tight but not many anymore.
2. I have found that I have to make myself exercise every daynor my body hurts and its harder to do it the next time. It makes me make better food choices too! I am going with it until the doomed day it slows down! Lol!
3. That is super exciting!!!! Congrats!!! I think these kind of victories may be better than the actual lbs! Woo hoo!!!
4. I have lost 61 lbs since the beginning of July! Only 35 of that is since being banded. I never knew I could be so disciplined and motivated! I have even started running... well jogging more so since I am still a big girl! Super excited and wanted to share! I started my journey at 310 lbs and weighed in this morning at 249 lbs. I don't even know the last time I saw that number!
5. These pics were taken at the beginning of summer and this week. This hard work is starting to really pay off!!! I am 6 lbs away from half way!
6. I went today for my 4th fill. I am 9.2 cc. I believe I am very close to green if not there! I am down 54 lbs since July and I am walking my second 5k this weekend! I am loving my new active lifestyle! My only regret was waiting so long to do it!
7. My life has changed so much in the last 2 months and I could not be more thankful. I am healthier than I have been in years and I am just beginning. I am active and actually to the point I am starting to crave it. I make better decisions than I have ever in regards to food. This tool hasn't changed my life, it has given me my life back. I have learned discipline and control and on the occasional slip, I refocus, not a week later but the next day. It actually makes me work harder. This is my journey and I am so lucky to have an amazing support system both within this community and by those in my life. I am so excited to see what the next year holds for all of us!
8. I was told to eat 1400 calories and I didnt lose anything until my calories were up around 1200. Maybe that would help.
9. I got my first fill today as well. Surgery was 7/24. I am down 30 lbs since pre-op diet, 14 since surgery. I have been having a lot of hunger struggles. She gave me 4 cc's and there was .2 cc's in there for a total of 4.2 cc. I am on soft foods today and tomorrow. I have an appointment next week if I need another one, which i am pretty sure i will need as I got hungry later in the day. I guess we will see how solids go. She did find a large keloid in my port incision which I thought was my port. Gross! All in all, I finally feel like I am getting somewhere.
10. I think I am lucky in that 3 of my coworkers have had WLS. My family and most of my friends are so supportive and super excited for me. I was told during my counseling session before surgery that relationships in my life will change. I have actually lost someone very dear to me over this whole thing. It's just too much for him. Even with that, I know I made the right decision for me and hope he can make his own peace with it and support me eventually. It is definitely an emotional and personal journey!!
11. Right there with you! I go the 22nd. I feel like my appetite is back. Not hunger, but appetite. I'm doing ok, but its getting harder!!
12. The last couple of days I have not been the best about my diet. Yesterday I could not get satisfied. Today was better but I feel no restriction since the swelling has gone down. I do get fuller faster but don't really stau that way long. Pretty much only if I drink fast does I even know its there. I get my first fill in a week. I hope this gets better after a fill. I am still under my calories and tracking everything but I am frustrated because I am not losing and I have been exercising too. Ok I am done whining now. Just a little discouraged tonight.
13. I actually feel my port more now than right after surgery, however it is only sore after I exercise or lift too much and I just put on an ice pack for a bit and I am good to go. I am 15 days post op. It really gets better everyday!!
14. I went today for my 2 week post op and my doctor was very pleased with my progress and told me I am doing everything right. She told me that I may gain in the next couple weeks and not to get discouraged. I am down 27 lbs since I started the pre op diet. I am starting to see results and I feel better everyday! This is the best thing I have ever done for myself! I get my first fill on the 22nd. .
15. I was banded on the 24th and overdis it yesterday and had swelling and redness at my port incision. I have been icing off and on last night and today and it is helping a lot. I forget I had surgery a week and a half ago until I have done too much.
16. I have 5 cc's that was put in during surgery. I think you are ok.
17. I can get down tylenol and aleve but I feel it go thru. It doesn't hurt, just feels wierd.
18. I am only a week and a half out and that stuff was all pretty much gone for me by day 6. I was banded on a Wednesday and Friday was by far my worst day. It gets better and very quickly!
19. I am havinh the same problems. I feel like a hot mess right now. I don't know that I am getting my fluids in like I should. Protein shakes are awful to me right now and I can get down about 9 oz of food throught the day. I am no where near the calories I need and actually gained in the last couple days... I go for my follow up Wed.
20. So I am a week post op and was feeling really good today so I thought I would try a decent walk. I didn't get too far and I started having pain in my port area. I can't walk the gas away if it hurts like it does right now. Any advice?
21. I was banded on the 24th and went back to work today. I made it most of the day but I was uncomfortable by the end of the day. Gas pains in my shoulder ans my belly was pretty bloated. Ready to get past this stage!
22. I was banded on July 24, 2013. I am so glad this support is here because it makes it so much easier. So far, including the pre-op diet I am down 26 lbs. My only complaint is the bloated feeling and I know I need to be patient. I am truly thankful to be a part of this community and to have begun my journey!
