  2. Hello, did you find someone in Utah to do your fills? I was banded last week, so I have some time time to go. I understand their is a Doctor at Highland family medicine, and that Salt Lake Regional Medical Center will do fills, but they require and upper GI series before they will even see you. Thank you
  3. Hello SWright, I had my lap band with Dr. Kuri on August 22nd, I have not had any problems. How are you doing? Have you decided if you are going to go to Dr. Kuri for fills, or have you found someone to do your fills close to home? I hope all is going well for you!
  4. Hello, I just turned 60 also. I had my lap band surgery on August 22, 2013 with Dr. Pedro Kuri in Mexico. Beautiful hospital, great care, and caring physician. I understand your feelings, I have been through the same weight loss treatments as you have, I suspect most of us have. Remember that you are the only one who can make the change, and I am sure your husband will be right there to support you. The lap band is a tool, you have to use it. You are worth it, and you have a lot of years left, make them some of your best and your healthiest.
  5. Thank you for the information! I wish you the best.
  6. I am being banded on August 21, by Dr Kuri. I have heard very positive things about him. I am very excited. How has the recovery been. I am planning on flying home post op day 1.
  7. I am being banded on August 22. I am self pay, so I'm going to Mexico. I am excited for this next adventure. Much success to us all!
