My surgery date is next Tuesday, October 15th. I can honestly say that I am embarrassed to tell people that I am having "Fat Girl" surgery. People just don't understand. I only told my mom, two sisters, and my sons. I mentioned the possibility of having the surgery to a few friends and the looks in their faces were priceless. They questioned the need for the surgery and told me I didn't need to have it. "Just work out and eat healthy. Uggghhhh so needless to say they will not be told about my surgery and that I went thru with it. Now my husband, although he is supportive told me he didn't agree with me making the decision (about my body) without his input. Lol what a laugh. But he will be right there by my side. But I am here to support as well. I agree with the previous comment...find someone else to go with you. Good luck!

Excited & stressed at the same time.

Well they didn't tell me I needed to lose. Prior to my first visit I had just ended a round of HCG so I had just lost like 15lbs. I also knew that I would gain a few pounds after that diet. But I gained a few and lost a few in the past three weeks. I have started exercising and "clean eating". My pre op appt is on Monday so we shall see.

My doctor did not put me on a pre opt diet. They told me to eat what I wanted and have that glass of wine if I want. Hmmmmmm.....

Omg I hope Cigna doesn't act like a donkey with my case. My BMI is at 40 and I have no comorbidities. The shrink advised me to get a sleep study done since I have poor sleeping habits. Maybe if I do that and actually have Sleep Apnea maybe that will help with them approving my claim.
