Banded 8 weeks ago. When I stretch, bend, and even sneeze I feel soreness in the port. I was to the doctor and he no trouble adding 2cc. He said he feels scar tissue but nothing to be done. Anyone have port pain?

I had surgery july 29th. Doing great..loss 30 lbs. My only concern is that my port hurts when I bend and stretch. The doctor says he feels knots and its probably scar tissue. Anyone else experiencing port pain?

Striver..you are healing. Normal to not lose weight right away. Ricksgal...I'm in the same place. Never hungry but eats way too fast and can eat more than a cup full. I'm in control and eating healthy. I'm still losing 1 or 2 lbs a week and haven't had a fill yet. I can't decide whether to get my first fill or not. I am 6 weeks post op.

Nana, you sound like an educated woman. Id like to pick your brain about my dilema. I'm banded 4 weeks. Doing great and never hungry. I lost 18 lbs and seem to have lost 1 or 2 lbs the last two weeks. Do I get my first fill? I'm feel restricted when its time to stop during some meals but at other meals I can eat quite a bit and not feel full. I never feel full but I'm finally in control with food. Let me repeat that I'm never hungry. Should I get my first fill this week?

My surgery was 7/29. Three weeks ago, today. I'm in phase 4 and I'm suppose to have my first fill this week. I told the nurse that I'm still not hungry and have restriction. I only eat about 600 calories a day. I was told to wait a couple of weeks. What are your thoughts on this?

I'm 2 and 1/2 weeks post op. I feel the port pulling, whe I bend at the waist. Is this normal and will it always be like this?

I bent over and saw stars at my port. Is this normal?

Is this portion the amount you all eat? I don't think I can live with that tiny amount of food. And, how do you get ur 60g of protein and sufficent calories?

The band is a tool. You still need to eat healthy food and watch calories. I'm almost 2 weeks post-op, also. I'm curious how much u lost. I eat about 600 calories a day and down only 9lbs.

Also in between the 4 hours is it only clear liquids? Is decaf coffee with a little milk allowed?

On mushies since Monday. Nice to eat real food. All goes down fine and I'm not hungry. I feel like eating due to habit. I was told 4 oz every 4 hours but I eat more than 4 oz. Maybe 6 or 8 oz. Is this bad?

I have a fear of too tight causing damage to the stomach.

I'm on clear liquids for 5 days and taking metformin. My glucose levels are still high. I'm waiting for the doc to call back. Has anyone noticed that there is hardly any weight loss, when ur glucose runs high?

Also wondering when does the first bowel movement come?

How soon did you all drive?

I'm in bergen county. How do I find local support groups? Didn't find any on this websire.

Day 3 post op here. Ater 2 days of hell, I feel very good today, but I'm still up 2 lbs and my fasting blood sugar is still high (191). Is this normal for diabetics? I have broth and a small amount of diluted juicce.

Sux..doesn't? Much more pain than I anticipated. Luckily I'm not nauseous yet. Sip water constantly. Drops down ur throat, walk around the house, and pain med. Good luck.

Me too...gained 3 lbs.when I weighed the morning after my surgery.

Horrible shoulder pain..in both shoulders. I just got home from the hosp. I also had a big hernia. Incision near at port is very painful.
