I have been staying at my sisters post op. I came home today to my 2 -7 year old Shih pops, max & Hannah. Hannah is just like a baby, she is 7 lbs and always jumps all over me lays on my stomach all the time. When I came home today she was very careful with me, didn't jump on my stomach and has been laying next to me in bed for most of the day. Maxwell will not leave my side when I go for a walk. They are so intuitive! I missed them so much!

I can't burp since right after surgery. I am day 5 post op. I can feel the gas but no burp! Oh how I wish I could!

I had a huge hernia repair. From what I have been told 1/3 of my stomach was in my chest cavity.

So note to self, do not buy baby food and find sinew hung else to eat! Lol! Thanks for the heads up in that one!!!!

Enjoy your vacation! Jackie my post op instructiions said no swimming fir 2 weeks. Hows the baby food kbush?

Stay on your prescribed post op diet. You are healing and do not want to stretch your pouch or over work your stomach.

I have staples and band aids . I showered and changed the band aids. The are starting to itch though. Must be healing!

So glad everyone is doing better today. Yes, the cream soups are definitely more filling than broth. I am enjoying Popsicles today! I hope everyone has a fantastic day!!!!

Good morning! Feeling better by the day! Hope everyone else is also. Still have some gas gas and have not had a BM yet. I did have puréed and strained cr if chicken soup yesterday, it was pretty good. Tried a new protein powder synta 6 strawberry . It is delicious!!!! Finally going back to my home today, I have been recovering at my sisters home. I have 2 Shih-poos, max & Hannah, I miss them so much! Have a great day !!!!!!!!!

Pain is normal and will getter better by the day. Everyone has a different pain threshold. If the pain is unbearable call your doctor.

The back pain is either gas or how you were positioned on the operating table. I had it do. I am day 4 post op and it had subsided!!! Hang in there and welcome to the other side!

I agree gas x did nothing for me either. It is simethicone and suppose to break up the bubbles , but I found walking worked much better. One thing no one told me about was that I was not going to be able to put my bra on to go home. Still have not put it on as one of my incisions is right on the band line. Not sure what I will do when I go back to work on Monday. Probably a tight camisole under my shirt. So glad I have my own office !

Hi Sam! Congratulations ! I am 4 days post op and the gas/ shoulder pain is subsiding!!!! Walk walk walk and small sips of fluids. I feel a lot better today than I have so far. Hang in there!!!

Makes sense sprinkle! They did a hiatal hernia repair and some kind of anterior plication for GERD along with the lap band. Could be why I have staples, one of my incisions is about 2 inches the other 4 are very small I an having the staples removed Wednesday afternoon. I am going to go sit through my surgeons pre op seminar with a friend that wants to have the lap band done now! I am so happy to see her look into this!!!

I will callow doctor for sure on Monday if I have not had a BM by then! Don't want to become too constipated!

It felt so good to shower and change by bandages. I have staples in. Anyone else have staples? Couldn't agree more, this site and you folks have been a god send! Hooray for us!!!!

I am going back Monday fir a half day. I will work all week but not 49 hours. I have a desk job and lots of support and assistance at work.
