My BMI is now 39.6 it was 42 the doc requirements was that I lose 5-10 lds like I said I lost 14. I did what they asked just not in the way they asked me to do it.

On the plus side I have cut out soda and been eating better. I have lost 14 lbs I have been drinking the shakes but I have been eating full meals with the family

I am failing miserably at the liquid diet. I have tried and tried hard I just can't do it. Surgery is Wednesday. I know after I have to do it and I know I will be able to. But right now I have food funerals a d nerves causing me to fail. Hope this doesn't effect surgery

I have a ? I have heard from a few people that after you lose a lot of weight most people are always cold. What are your guys thoughts.

I'm mainly needing a list of what u took to the hospital

I k ow this has been on here serial times. So if there is a link please post it in comment... But what I'm looking for is a shopping list for when I get home from hospital. Also what all do I need to pack for the hospital .... Thank you sooooo much. P.s. 6 more days July 17th !!

I am having my sleeve done Jul.y 17th and I couldn't be any happier. My bmi is 40. I am 5'7 and 259ish pounds. I have never thought of myself as way too big I just knew that i was over weight and needed to do something. Well last night I had my most embarrassing moment and my big wake up call. I went to ride the scrambler and they could barley get the safety gate to latch because I was so big. I wanted to cry. I wanted to get off that ride and run away. But i didn't I stayed there with this bar pressing so hard against me I could barely breath. My boyfriend was looking at me and I could tell he knew what was going on. These two little skinny girls were sitting across from me just staring I knew what was going through there mind. I have always went to clothing stores and had size issues and booths at restaurants not being able to fit. But never like this. But on the plus side. I posted that I was having wls on Facebook because I am proud I'm changing my life. I seen some of my friends at the fair that seen my posting. They were all excited and wished me luck. It is so nice knowing that I have so much more support than I ever really knew. So my most embarrassing day did have some perks. It was bitter sweet. Like I said my surgery is July 17th. Since July is the month that we won our independence so many years ago I think that it is kind of a coincidence that I am celebrating my independence as well. Independence from that fat strings that have weighed me down for so long. I am ready to be the new me. AND You can bet my big a$$ that this time next year I will be riding those rides and I will fit with out any issues and Im ganna ride then till I get sick !!!!! Happy Independence Everyone

My date is July 17th as well the count down begins I keep wondering if I'm doing the right thing than I think about all the things I will be able to do and I get so excited !!

Thanks guys I think they r a little high but I think they might be worth it seeing how every one says they have a hard time getting their protein down

I am the day before u and I have the same doubts. Scared that when I wake up from surgery I will think " what the hell did I just do to myself". But than I think thousands of people in our same shoes have done this so can we. Good luck

I have the same insurance as u and no co morbids My doc wouldn't even let me in the weight loss program until my bmi was 40. But good luck

No I also have bcbs ppo I did not have to have a letter. I only needed my PCM to fill out a referral form

Well I'm suppose to be feeling amazing right now the surgeon approved me and does not foresee any issues with the insurance but I feel broken right now and you guys are pretty much the only ones that might relate to how I'm feeling. First of all the boyfriend is totally against me doing this purely because of his own insecurities. Afraid I'm ganna thin up and leave him. We got into a big fight over it last night (same day I got my approval) than today is day one of all liquid and it's mentally killing me. I'm hungry I'm emotional I want chocolate than in top of it all I'm at work and people here are really getting under my skin. So all I really want to do is cry. I want to be happy and excited but I can't Sorry for being a Debbie downer

I got into the program today !!!!!!!!!!!!!! When i went last time I was 2 lds under I finally got approved they don't foresee any problems with the insurance. This has been a great day. They only day that will be better is 1 when insurance says yes and 2 when i have my surgery I have to go for the stomach scope the 19th. Surgery orientation July 10 than Surgery JULY 22 !!!!!!!
