  1. Today in the shower, I ran my fingers through it and an enormous clump of hair came out in my hands plus more every time I wrung out my hair! I'm a little nervous. I hear this happens sometimes when you lose a lot of weight quickly. But I've only lost 40 pounds in 4 months. What does everyone suggest will help me with the hair lose?

  8. I had a plateau 3 weeks after I had surgery. I lost a crazy amount of weight in those 3 weeks. Something like 25 pounds but then it just stopped! I was so frustrated because I didn't change anything and I was stuck for 5 days! I went on this site and people told me if my doctor gives me the ok, I should start slowly exercising. My doctor said it was fine so I hit the gym 4x a week for an hour and the weight started dropping again and kept dropping!
  9. I had horrible gas for at least a week! So painful! I feel for you! Hang in there!! It gets better!
  10. My doctor was way more strict! I was on liquids for 3 whole weeks! Then 1 week of mushy foods then FINALLY I could eat solids! I've had two fills of 1 cc each so I only have 2 ccs in my band but I'm consistently losing weight!

  13. Thank you everyone. When I made this post I was feeling horrible about myself so you were seeing me at my low. I understand now that everyone slips and as long as I don't go crazy I'll allow myself that taco once or twice a month. To clarify it wasn't just a taco. They were those cheesy gordita crunches from Taco Bell. So full of bad things but I feel if I'm craving the junk I'll just get a regular taco without the extra stuff or something. Thank you so much for your advice!

  17. Thanks lady VS. I know it's a hurdle but it just scares me that I "blacked out" and ate food. That's what I used to do before surgery. Such a scary feeling
  18. I got the surgery 2 1/2 months ago and went on vacation for a month so I've only had 1 fill and am getting another one in a month. I hope with more fills I won't eat that much again. But I'm fighting those cravings everyday and my stomach got the better of me.
  19. Hey everyone. So today I caved and ate fast food after holding out for so long. Before my head caught up with my stomach I looked down and my two tacos were already gone! I feel so disappointed with myself and I know that this is an extra 5+ hours in the gym just to get rid of it. I haven't hated myself this much in a long time. I've been so good losing 3+ pounds a week! I know I can work it off but seeing what I just did scared me. I felt I haven't seen this part of myself since before my surgery. My confidence is shattered right now.
  20. Thank you everyone. I was told I can't do strenuous exercise yet but I will continue walking and when I can ill be back in the gym! This site always makes my insecurities feel better!
  21. Hey everyone! I got banded July 3rd and I lost 16 pounds. But now I'm stuck! I've been at 16 pounds lost for the past 5 days! I van finally eat food tomorrow! I thought I would lose much more and it's discouraging to see the scale stay in the same place. Did anyone else experience this?

  23. I hope to be just like you! I'm still on the liquid diet. I've already lost 17 pounds and I'm about 2 weeks in. I'm extremely nervous to start eating food. I hear so many stories about food getting stuck constantly and I'm scared. Plus the cravings are still there! I see a commercial about a burger and fries and my mouth drools! Did you have any food getting stuck experiences?
  24. Hey all! Banded July 3rd! I'm 17 pounds down!! Still on the liquid diet for about another week ugh. I didn't have any stitches! My surgeon glued my incisions which I thought was amazing! I had 0 bruises and my incisions almost look like nothing already!
