  11. You can always take a walk, today's weather forecast in Louisville is beautiful and there are great walking parks.
  12. Congratulations! My surgery is on the 14th, the nurse suggested we all bring gas-x strips with us to the hospital. They go on your tongue and melt to help with the after surgery gas.
  13. My doctor requires two weeks liquids after a fill.
  14. I am still pre-op but my doctor and several people with the band tell me the key to eating any food is to take small bites and chew, chew, chew! Good luck, you can do it!
  15. Hey guys, I have been on my pre-op liquid diet for 4 days, today starts the 5th. My surgery is on Wednesday, but I have not lost a pound?? I have not cheated once and actually find I am not super hungry until the end of the day. I usually have several items left on the list I can have, broth, protein shake (I get two per day), popsicles or jello, but I hate to eat just before bed. So I feel like I should be down 5-8 lbs by now. I am frustrated but then again I am so excited about my surgery coming in just 3 days. A nurse at my pre-op appointment when over the liquid diet and information for the day of surgery said if you have not lost weight by the day the of surgery they will know you haven't followed the diet and will cancel the surgery!! Any advise?
  16. My date was moved up to Aug 14 so I will be on soft food for the first 3 days of my trip then regular food as tolerated. I am luck to be traveling with a good friend and by car. I plan to take a small cooler with me. Thanks everyone!
  17. I just started my pre-op liquid diet, I can't wait to try these. Thanks!
