  1. Why do you think the band hasn't worked for you? Is it because if the reason stated above: too tight or too loose, or was it something totally different?
  2. I understand it can be a downer, but don't worry, girl, your body went through trauma.... It's primary focus right now is healing. Believe me, it WILL catch up! A lot of people don't feel restriction until they start getting fills. Try your BEST to stay within the amount of food allowed (up to 1 cup of food during each meal) next thing you know, you'll be making trips to the tailor to get your favorite clothes taken in.
  3. Let me know if you try it
  4. No heartburn, thank GOD!! I don't think I can live with daily heartburn. I would have my band slightly loosen.
  5. I'm surprised how versatile cream cheese is.
  6. I took some Shady Brook turkey meatballs, 1/4 cup of spaghetti sauce & 1 ounce of Philadelphia cream cheese and heated it in my rice cooker with a side of sliced cucumbers. Very satisfying.
  7. Well, if they STICK IT to us, we should STICK IT to them. By "they" & "them" I mean the system. Good luck!
  8. You look GREAT, btw!
  9. I don't think I'll ever remove it unless medically necessary. Hubby keeps saying I should eventually... But it makes no sense to me. I'm a BANDit for life!
  10. Irishflower, I see you kicking some ASS in the near future. It brings me JOY just to imagine the look on the face of the person handling your case when they see you not only losing that 1.8, but more than that. They'll have no choice but to APPROVE YOU!!!!
  11. I'm not sure, but I bet it's very uncomfortable. Pretty sure it's like a stuffed-to-the-throat feeling.
  12. Having your "lady garden" on a diet means something ENTIRELY different to me. Just saying!!
  13. YES!! There are about 4 other places I can go closer to me in Brooklyn & Queens, but I troop it to Frank.
  14. How much do you have to lose? How old are you? How long have you been overweight?
  15. I want to take kickboxing classes I want to wear cute summer dresses I want to learn how to swim I want to make our frequent visits to the nude beach and not be the only one NOT going topless I want to go on a MUDDY obstacle course race
  16. Perhaps he's changing and treating you better, not so much because of your weigh loss, per se, but because YOU yourself are changing. Maybe you're "happier" than before and he sees that.
  17. No, but what I DO recommend is asking the doctor if he/she can add "some" saline during surgery because your insurance is running out... Thy way, if it takes a little time to find a place, at least you would have already had some restriction. Most doctors don't add during surgery, if yours is one if those, he/she might make an exception. Good luck with surgery.
  18. Did you feel your pouch STRECHED when you ate that sandwich??
  19. The only foods I "mourned" were steaks & ribs... I haven tried having them, so I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to. Good luck on Wednesday!!!
  20. Awwww, you guys!!! I feel a deep connection with all of you who had the wonderful Dr. Ren operate on you. Yeyyyy us! Who does your fills?? I get them done with Frank.
