How much weight do you have to or had to lose? ? As for me I haven't met with my surgeon yet but i have to start losing.. it would be much better mentally if i knew exactly how much!!???

Lol i went to orientation yesterday and met Liz,dr.braggs and the NUT.. alot of information

Ohhh goodness i went to my orientation today got so much information ive been reading most of the day and i couldn't be any happier i am changing my life for the better!!! I meet with my surgeon on oct 15th i actually met him my nutritionist and my case manager today!!! Fron start to finish this process was not as long as i thought it would be. I got referred about two weeks ago im already moving along!!!

I have not had the surgery yet but i do have alot of questions.lol Sorry if i asked the wrong question.

So what about the size of the sleeve does it matter what size??

I thought the absence of the hunger hormone helps??

So the hunger hormone is not gone permanently its just gone for a year or so??

Thank you everyone.. yes you are all right.. and i guess i should understand that maybe he is concerned for my safety. .. idk its just frustrating hes acting this way and i knw if it was him i would support him 100. % but i will put my big girl panties on and do this for me because it is way overdue

Why did you all choose RNY and notthe sleeve??

I hate to even post this but it is bothering me so badly!!! Every since i decided i am going to do wls (sleeve) i have no support my supposedly husband wont even go with me to the orientation! !!!!!! I am very hurt and disappointed! !! He keeps saying i am sexy and i look GREAT at a whopping 347 pounds!!!! Is he deranged? ????? He has been trying to talk me out of it since i told him about me wanting wls... i have been thinking about doing wls for about two years now!!! I have made up my mind and if that means i will endure tjis journey ALONE so be it!!!!!!! I just dont understand WHY HE WOULD NOT SUPPORT ME??!!! i am very dissapointed with him.. smh.. i literally have noone..my mother has to work on my orientation day so she cant come..

Also the orientation is very informative ,, long you might get Liz she's ummm interesting .. If you have any questions ask there ... Keep your binder they give you it helps and has tons of info. You also find out who your surgeon is .. That day. My process went fast .. Everyone's process is different. It's really the psych evaluation that pro longs it if you can get a appointment before he gets booked you will be cool. Options? What is that? Didn't hear about that Well options some type of program kaiser has i guess like a nutritional program? ?? Its a reqirement for surgery some people have it for 24 weeks and some 12 weeks

Hey just wondering if you could be so kind to tell me your experience as i am going through the same Kaiser. . How long did it take from start to finish?? Did you have to do the 24 weeks of options??? Congratulations btw !!!!

I am so happy for u all i wish it were me... im going to the four hour orientation next week. Can u tell me about your experience? ??

Im not sure the timeline on north cal kaiser.. i wont find out anyyhing until orientation
