  1. Sleeved June 17th and down 40lbs, 25 since surgery. I happy for my loss but I'm starting to get worried about this stall that I have been in for the last 3weeks? Advice on how to break the dreaded stall is welcome!
  2. I had the same feeling a few weeks after surgery. It was thrush. Of course I had a sore throat and white spots in my throat too.
  3. I'm going through something simular. I was sleeved on June 17th. I'm down 30lbs since surgery. The last few weeks I have been at a standstill and today when I weighed myself I had actually gained 3lbs! Im trying to KEEP CALM AND WORK THE SLEEVE.
  4. Here are my stats: HW-295 SW-283 on 6-17-13 CW: 256 I Just weighed myself and I gained 3lbs in the last 3 days after being stalled for a while. Is none else starting to experience this? Are there typical weeks for stalls? I think I remember hearing something about stalling around 3-6 weeks.
  5. Benedryl didn't help. I went to my PCP and she ended up giving me an antifungal cream with a steroid. It worked!
  6. How do I get to your pics under your profile? Thanks for posting about your xperience. How are you?
  7. I was sleeved on June 17th and lost a total 40 lbs, 15lbs from my pre-op diet. I'm having trouble meeting my protein requirements and getting a good routine down. I find that sleeping let on the weekends totally throw me off and then I stay up late trying to meet my requirements. In fact, I'm up now trying to finish a protein drink!
  8. I have a red rash on my stomach along where I injected my lovenox (blood thinner) shots. My doctor had me do self injections for two weeks after surgery. Just as I was finishing my last day of injection, a red splotch appeared, similar to hives. Then it appeared on the other side of my stomach two days later. Anyone ever have this? I tried hydrocortisone and drinking benedryll but it didn't help. I called my doctors office yesterday and I'm waiting for a call back. The rash/hives are super itchy!

  10. Is that it's harder to pass gas when you need too! I have been walking and taking gas ex strips but it is getting harder and harder to let it rip! I have been passing gas in my office and even going to the bathroom on the questionable gas. Sitting in position seems to help. But right now my diaphragm and torso muscle are extremely sore from trying to squeeze one out! It even hurts when I take a deep breathe. I just finished walking an exhausting mile and I'm laying "in position" with a heating pad. Any ideas you all have are welcome!
  11. Private sleever, what happens week 2? Does it get worse? I'm only on week 1.
  12. I was sleeved on the 17 th too! Yesterday was pretty bad with all the gas in my torso. I work thinking "what the hell did I do?" I think I actually told the PAC nurse "this is done B***sh**. I'm slightly ashamed of myself today but I'm going to blame in on the narcotics! Today I'm feeling better. How are you guys doing?
  13. This last combo of nausea and pain medicine worked wonders! Not sure of the name....wait.. I think it's phenergon. Now I have a patch behind my ear. I hope that it works just as well.
  14. When does the nausea improve? I'm in the hospital with no a lot of pain, but I'm just so nausea?
  15. I know that everyone is different but I'd love to hear what your typical day is like on full liquids. Include what you eat, what time, when you nap, exercise, and take your vitamins/ medications. I have surgery on Monday, whoo-hoo!
  16. Thanks, that does help. This is also my first time going at it alone. Usually I have a diet buddy to help keep me on track. It's a good thing that this site exist!
  17. I'm not sure why I'm feeling so down in the dumps. Up until today I was excited and a little nervous but never sad. Usually the idea of doing anything new is enough to keep me upbeat. Maybe I'm mourning my friend food. Idk, did anyone else go through this? Also, my husband has been snippy with me all weekend. He is generally supportive and even thinking of having wls himself later.
  18. I start my pre-op diet on June 3 (for 2weeks). I just picked up my food for the 2weeks from my doctor.
  19. I'm being sleeved on the 17th too! I'll be sleeved by Dr. Halmi of Blue Point Surgical group in VA. Let's keep in touch!
  20. For those of you who had hernias repaired during your surgery, did you already know that you had a hernia? Or was it found during surgery? Is there a test that doctors will do to look for a hernia? I feel like I have a hernia ( I feel something protruding after coughing a lot) but it is in my lower right abdomen area. I'm not sure if the doctor will even be near that area during surgery to see anything.
  21. First, congrats! You look awesome! If you don't mind, what was your starting weight and how much did you weigh in the photo? Second, I am pre-op (surgery date scheduled for June 17th--woohoo!!). But I developed gallstones and had my GB taken out nearly 10 years ago. I still have symptoms very close to dumping. The first year or so was awful! I would eat and immediately get sick. I felt like there was poison in me and I had to poop it out. Sorry for tmi! Now it's a little better, I can't just eat too much fat. But I have been unable to find anyone who is still experiencing problems so far out from surgery. My doctors say that it's rare but not unlikely. I wonder how having the sleeve will effect this. Any ideas?
