  1. Well I know you can by them already prepared that way. They are in the Mexican section at my grocery store. The major brand here is old el paso or taco bell refried beans. And they are deeeeelish! I have one more week of full liquids then I can have them! Good luck finding them.
  2. Okaaaaaay, now just a little discomfort? Maybe? Or tender. But I was tender anyway. Idk..... Maybe I'm freaking over nothing.
  3. I am post op day 6. I just had a some egg drop soup and about 3 to 4 teaspoonfuls of Greek yogurt. About 10 minutes after eating I went upstairs and sat down on the couch. When I did I experienced a shift or heavy gurgle in my port area. It didn't hurt. Nor was it uncomfortable but I had not experienced that sensation before. When I shifted positions on the couch moments later, it happened again. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be concerned? Could I have caused a slippage?
  4. I was banded this past Monday the 13th. While I was given a booklet that told me WHAT to eat. It didn't tell me HOW MUCH to eat. I just don't know how much I should be eating. I had a bowl of blended hot and sour soup tonight. In the plastic bowl that it comes in. I ate slowly but was able to eat the entire bowl. Any recommendations out there?
  5. I was banded on the 13th and mine is protruding as well. Mine is located about 2 1/2 to 3 inches below the center of my breasts. I'm thankful for having it and proud of it. Just hate that it's so '' out there''.
  6. I was banded this past Monday and the excruciating gas pains didn't start until Wednesday night/Thursday morning. By Thursday night all I could think of was what have I done?!?!?! I've had several laprascopic surgeries and this one by far was the most painful as far as the gas pains go. They have gotten better but still.... I'm having a very difficult time taking in a full deep breath. When I do, my diaphragm and left side will spasm. I am drinking tea, water and gatorade. I'm having regular bm's, so that's a plus. I'm also walking but there are times that I can barely stand up straight. I am very well aware of how this is going to improve every aspect of my life. I'm just ready for these dang gas pains to go away!
  7. I will definitely try the smooth move tea although I'm having regular bm's. Thank goodness! The pain for me is right in the center of my chest. I drank tea last night and slept on my left side but turned quite often. I realize it's the co2 but I'm just wondering if beano will help. That's charcoal based rather than simethicone. I'm also in a bit of a predicament because I did NOT tell ANYONE at my work that I had this procedure done. My boss does not believe in it and thinks it's a copout. I have 3 days left and I am hoping and praying that this improves. I recall gas from my gallbladder but nothing to this extent. And another thing, I don't know how to post comments on my own. I'm having to go behind y'all's comments.
