  1. Jersey City here!
  2. I think it is a personal choice and I plan on taking a "need to know" approach. I need to tell an out of state uncle as my next of kin in case anything should go terribly wrong, my next door neighbor in case of emergency, my best friend for moral support and that's about it. If anyone inquires with what I feel are good intentions, I certainly won't lie ... but if I feel they are going to be less than supportive, I will keep mum about the procedure or give a vague "stomach problems" answer. I don't owe anyone an explanation about what I do with my body.
  3. I am wondering about this also. I am pre-op and very rarely drink, but I would still like to be able to have a glass of wine or a drink on my birthday or a special occasion.
  4. The way he is behaving is very disrespectful and quite frankly it doesn't matter if she is hot or not OR if you are fat or thin. That was a really nasty and low thing for him to do. Do you really want a man who has your permission to do whatever he wants with whomever will let him who will then come back to you and treat you like that? I wouldn't. People tend to get what they ask for. Aim higher.
  5. I got a wicked case of oral thrush following a tonsillectomy this past winter. I forget the name of the oral Rx the Doctor prescribed, but it was very cheap and I could tell that it started working within hours. Literally. I could really tell the difference. It shouldn't be a big deal for your Doctor to call in an Rx for an oral rinse for thrush. If it is thrush, it will kill it off right away and you will feel much better. If it isn't, it won't hurt a thing. No sense suffering over something that is so easily fixed. Hope you feel better soon.
  6. I forgot to mention Meyer Lemons are delicious in water also. They sell them at Whole Foods. Much better than a regular lemon. Well worth the price difference, but I try to get them on sale anyway. You can get three glasses of water flavored from one lemon.
  7. I can't stand the taste of plain Water either. Use 1/3 of the recommended amount of Crystal Light. It's way too strong, surgery or not. The Target house brand (forget the name, Archer Farms maybe?) has some nice flavors like melon (my favorite) and pineapple that when when you use just a pinch add a nice flavor to water. It comes in the single serve sticks in a box, not the 3 or 4 tubs to a canister. One stick is enough for 4 or 5 bottles of water.
