  2. Thank you guys for all you good wishes! I was really exhausted. I came back home and I felt sleep for 3 hours! Super tired and worn up. I'm staying home tomorrow for sure but after all I'm felling good. I had sf pudding for dinner! Looooved it!
  3. Big hugs and prayers for you!!!!! ???·???
  4. Haha thank you GingerAnn! Today is day 5 after surgery and I'm feeling really good. I tried to go to work but I was kinda nauseous so I will stay home tomorrow . I wanted to tell everybody at my office today that I've pooped after 5 days and it felt great!!! Haha, for real, it's being a long time since I was appreciating little things in life like now. My major happiness is burping, farting, going to the bathroom and feeling less pain, even when I laugh of my husband's jokes it hurts! But even though it has been a tuff process, I'm feeling really blessed and happy to start my new life. And I have no doubt that you will feel the same way in just a couple of weeks! Praying that everything will go smooth for you
  5. Good luck and the best wishes in you appt!
  6. Hello everybody! I was banded 5 days ago and my BMI was 32. This was my highest ever. I have been overweight for the last 10 years and you know the rest of the story of loosing and gaining all back and more, etc. I decided for the band because I realized that was not going to get any better at this point. I was really tired all the time, feeling depressed, not happy with myself, with PCOS, insulin resistance and taking 3 meds a day. I didn't have the normal diseases to be a candidate but my health problems were enough for my doctor. No to mention that I want to have a family someday and with this weight and PCOS is almost possible. Some people might think we are crazy because we took a drastic decision being not that big. But I truly think I took this decision BEFORE it was just to late for me. I always read stories about people wishing to have the band way before, and for me this was my only hope to get my life back. Maybe I was not as heavy as people might think about a lap band patient, but health is health, no matter what is your size, and being healthy is priceless right now! I'm only 5 days after surgery and I have loose 10 pounds, my BMI dropped to 30.9 and its not even a week! I'm blessed to have this opportunity.
  7. Are you going to Disneyland or Disney World? I went to Disneyland last February when I was the heaviest and I felt so bad walking. I cried my second night because my feet! I was too little to carry all my excess weight around. I can not wait to come back next winter, more lighter and hopefully walk around without pain and do Tower of Terror again lol. There is not restrictions for rides with the band, right? I was wondering...
  8. I hope everything went fantastic for you Cat Whisperer !
  9. I'm ok, but I tried to go to work today and it was a fail! Lol I had to come back home an hour ago because I was so tired and nauseous that I needed some rest. I guess it was a little brave to come back to work that soon, so I'm taking it easy now I don't have any gas pain but lots of discomfort from my chest and after drinking water. I'm glad you are feeling well! My band-buddy!
  10. Back from lunch, and I'm going home I can not make it the rest of the day and my boss told me she thinks I need to take the day off tomorrow. I will see you at home.
  11. Thank you Duchess! I'm still feeling kinda weird, but I'm at "lunch" time now. I might have to take tomorrow off. This was a little drastic. Look at this video! made me laugh haha
  12. Hi, I think the latest FDA rules say that you need to be at leat 35 IMB to have the surgery with no comorbidities, so you are fine . I was 33 BMI when I started this process, but I have several comorbidities. Now, a person with more that 30 and less than 35 can have lapband if they have more than one comorbidity, You have to talk to your doctor, but FDA now allows that, so I think you might be a candidate.
  13. So here I'm at work. I feel not really good. I had that pressure in my stomach that conbine with some stress back to work, is starting to hurt. And also, I'm super cold! I'm glaf I brought a blanket with me, prayers will be apreciate it! I'm not having a good day
  14. You go girl! Blessings for you!
  15. This was day 4. My doctor told me is ok to come back.
  16. Yes, my mini lap band vacation is over so I need to work tomorrow. I'm feeling really week right now. I did take my vitamins and I'm trying to eat something (it's being hard for me to eat!) any suggestions? I think I'm bringing my pillow and heating pad with me, and my nausea med.
  17. Less risky and with my BMI I was only a candidate for LapBand.
  18. I was banded 4 days ago, and is the same thing here! I'm not eating at all, drinking water and Chrystal light though. My doctor told me than my band has already 3cc on it, so it was not empty and I had my hernia repaired so I don't really feel like eating at all. Even thinking about food make me really nauseous. Well, I guess I need to enjoy this while it lasts like you said
  19. I have been watching TV the whole afternoon because today is my last "vacation day" before to come back to work tomorrow and I can not count how many food commercials I have seen!!!! I'm so happy that I'm not hungry at all with the band but media did affect me a lot before with all theirs cheese, double crust, etc commercials LOL, so my tip of the day for you pre-ops out there: do not watch TV!
  20. Love reading you truthful story Donna! I'm being banded for 4 days now and my problems with food started when I was young. I have a really healthy and fit family, but somehow I started to fill a lot of holes with food. I'm really grateful and blessed newlywed to a wonderful Christian man and he knows how much I suffered hiding myself in the bathroom or in the closet to just eat so he didn't notice it. I felt I was lying to him and to God, and I cried and I prayed for a new chance, and here I'm am! Just banded and so excited starting my new life. I know that I may want to eat those things again, but I want to go out of the closet and just enjoy one cookie instead of the whole box, is going to be hard, and I may failed, but the good think about life is that you have a new opportunity to start over every new sunrise god bless you! And you are not alone in this journey!
  21. I'm in my 4th day of surgery as well! I can eat Greek yogurt, apple sauce and protein shakes (Also tea, sugar free Popsicles and crystal light). I'm not really hungry but I'm making an effort to eat every 4 hours half of yogurt at least and drink as much water I can. I still feel discomfort so eating is the last thing I'm thinking about.
  22. I was banded 4 days ago, and I have the same kind if pain. I was reading and the port is on that side and it can cause a little discomfort. I try not to move to that side when I sleep. Hope you feel better!
  23. Yes, your last weight in should be right before the surgery. My surgery was on Friday and I have lost 9 pounds in 3 days, that's crazy.
