  1. I was just wondering if there was anyone on here in my area. I would love to know some local bandsters!!
  2. I don't think I'm too tight. Sometimes I can eat quite a lot and sometimes it's hard to eat. I just have days where I am tighter. I really enjoy my protein shakes as they keep me full and are easy to make and very nutritional. Is it bad to drink meal replacement shakes?
  3. The bands aren't defective. They are an older model.
  4. know In a post earlier i said I have had my band for 4 yrs but I was mistaken. It has only been 3 yrs. I was worried because I have heard all these ppl talking about dr kuri's band not being good and that's who banded me. I have had no problems so far though
  5. I have had my band for 3 yrs now. I was banded may 2010. I have bounced around with my weight a lot. I've been up and down. I have had a hard time following the rules and eating healthy. I find myself tired a lot. I feel as if I am malnourished. I drink a protein shake for breakfast and lunch and then eat a "normal" dinner.... Homemade chili, healthy soups, chicken dishes etc. maybe I need to add some snacks in between? Does anyone have any snack ideas? I don't do well with anything very dry as it doesn't go down well. Sometimes I feel so limited to what I can eat and I get discouraged I am doing a work out routine and half the time in have no energy to even follow through.

  8. That is scary. Did you have a heart problem to begin with?
  9. I guess it is an older model that is now not allowed in the us. I have heard a lot of good and bad about both bands. Idk. Just kind of scary.
  10. Thank you everyone for your input!! I appreciate it.i would hope after 4 yrs of no problems that I would be ok. I have two close friends who have had the same surgery from dr kuri 2 yrs before me and have had no problems and great success. Prayers for your surgery.
  11. I had my surgery in may of 2009 by Dr Kuri. I have been reading on this forum that dr kuri uses the wrong kind of band or a band that is old, and this is kind of worrying me. In have had my band for 4 yrs with no problems with fills or anything. Should I still be worried?
  12. I had my surgery in may of 2009. I went to dr kuri in Mexico. I am reading through all of this info about him using the 4cc band (the old one) I have had no problems with this band, but should I be worried even 4 yrs after surgery? It's kind of freaking me out now.
