  4. Thanks Joy!!! I really needed to hear that! I am nervous about my life after band...or well eating to be more specific. Awesome job on the weight loss...god willing I will have a similar success story to tell too!
  5. I mourned everything I could get my hands on....I gained about 6 pounds in a month and a half doing it and IT FELT GOOD!!! I am doing my Pre op diet way early. My date is set at 7/11 and I started my diet 6/17. It has not been traumatic at all however I am doing a diet called Sugar Busters and basically I eat eggs, salad, chicken, whole wheat grains and fruit. I like the diet way more than I think I would have like doing a liquid diet before the surgery. Tomorrow at work they are having Olive Garden lasagna....I am a HUGE ( no pun intended) carb o haulic so tomorrow it really going to test my strength and will power!!!! I just needed to tell somebody that...thanks for listening!!!
  6. Thank you! Yes, Mis73 is like the lap band guru!!!! I enjoy her posts!
  7. It's a diet where you eat very little carbs and sugar. I bought the book it sells on amazon. But basically it's a low carb low sugar diet.
  8. Hello, I'm Courtney from the middle Georgia area. I weight 306 pounds and I am 5 feet 6. I will be banded 7/11/13!!!! I am starting the Sugar Busters Diet tomorrow as prescribed by my surgeon Dr. Bagnato in Macon, Ga. I only need 2 weeks of it but since I have gained 7 pounds eating everything I have ever wanted as a "good bye" to food fest I am starting early. I will be taking a month off work afterwards and am having a hiatal hernia repaired. I'm nervous oh and my port is going up by my left underarm not my belly. My surgeon does this for everyone. I got approved for insurance by showing 5 years of morbid obesity and that was it!!! I know God had this for me the whole time!!! Now my out of pocket is kind of high the hospital will charge me $2500 and the doctor $600 AFTER my deductible of $2500 is met!!!! I worked out a payment plan for the hospital. I have 2 kids, 17 and 4. I want to be AWESOME when my son graduates next year in 2014 and enjoy his cruise he picked out. I have a wedding to attend the end of August. Any suggestions on what I will be able to eat? Please, I don't want to throw up at the dinner table!!! Oh, and good bye to Diet Pepsi will be very hard for me!!! My goal is to weight 190 to 175. I'm not trying to be a super model and I'm ok with 190! Look forward to hearing from anyone as I will need some help!!! Thank you and God bless!
  9. Hi! I'm July 11th as well! I am starting the Sugar Busters Diet tomorrow. I don't have to start that early but I am. I have eaten every single thing I have wanted to since last month. I had to get it out my system. I gained 6 pounds!!! Now, it's time to start the process. I picked July 11th to give myself time to enjoy the summer and vacation. I'm ready now. Keep in touch. I have it easy with Sugar Busters versus a liquid diet so I will not complain!!!!
