  1. It occurred toe that you need to heal again. It also gives you an opportunity not to regain if you go slow.
  2. In the event something goes wrong. I don't want them to go in to "fix" anything just remove it. Hope u feel better. You must be on liquids for a while I would think ?
  3. I'm so sorry but I'm happy that you removed it. I too wil remove permantly
  4. So much passion and emotion on here. The truth of the matter is that all WLS is sad. Is sad that we would get to this point, to even have to think about it. (I understand there are a few with medical issues and could not hep their weight gain) but most of us was an addiction to food that developed from a bad relationship with food. My biggest wish right now is that ALL of us that have endured all this suffering invest as much energy into preventing this from happening to future generations. our children, and our children's children. (too late for my children) but I'm going to be a grandmother and I will be damn if that baby will be obese. I will do everything in my power to make sure that he has a healthy relationship with food from his birth. I'm 24 days post op, and its been an extremely difficult recovery because of nerve damage, one of the many risks of any surgery. My daughter is twenty-six years old and she had gastric bypass surgery ten years ago on her sixteenth birthday, a year ago she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis which has been linked to vitamin deficiencies If God himself showed up and gave me the opportunity to change one thing in my life, I would change the way that I fed my children. (and I grew up in the system without any parents) And I would not change that given a chance. Please people lets prevent this from happening to future generations. enough is enough.
  5. hi i hope you feel better soon. why did you have your band removed?
  6. The hair loss is directly connected with lack of protein.
  7. It's weird because I'm so hungry right now, but I didn't bring lunch to work with me so I'm contemplating some soup from the restaurant. 1 cup fills me up and I don't have a fill yet.
  8. Make sure u don't push, pull or lift. Don't sit for more then an hour without moving for at least five minutes. Follow all the rules. Feel better soon. It's all about healing right now.
  9. Hely88 thank you. I think I will look for those for my family.
  10. It sounds so unpleasant and scary. I'm 22 days post op and I have a good heart not to get any fills so long as I continue to loose weight.
  11. The very minimum is caused because of genetics. Most if us have a horrible relationship with food and that's y we are obese. That's is why we the ones suffering because of this horrible and real addiction to food, we must do everything in our power to prevent this from happening to future generations.
  12. I sincerely hope that future generations never go through WLS. That we as a nation start cultivating a healthy relationship between our children grandchildren and food right from birth. We must make a better future for the generations to come. I pray and wish God gives me the knowledge to pass this message along to the new parents of this nation.
  13. I had a different nerve damaged during my lap band surgery. my stomach feels like its on fire and when I lay down it feels like im being stabbed to the point of tears. I was banded 3/21/13 worried
  14. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I will keep you in my prayers.
  15. Wow nice pics. How is your recovery?
  16. Me personally been having a very slow recovery because of nerve damage during surgery. been in a lot of pain ever since 18 days post op. I decided right away that if anything goes wrong I don't want them going in to ''fix'' anything, just take it out. And it has nothing to do with discouragement, its just a decision that I made. I feel that all of us have shown tremendous amount of courage by just giving it a try, and having the surgery in the first place. However that doesn't mean that we are tide to it. Good luck with your recovery and with whatever you decide.
  17. Interesting I'm 19 days post op and still on purée.
  18. Yes I will keep you in my prayers, and I'm Trully considering no red meat and no chicken only fish at least for a long time. I'm so sorry that you don't have the support from your spouse, I wouldn't be able to go through this agonizing pain without my husband. He's been my rock. We can pray for each other because when your body is traumatized, it can really mess with your mind. Make sure to repeat to yourself the most important rules every time u have a chance. While driving when alone when preparing a meal. Hope you feel better.
  19. Hi farmgirl, I've read that sometimes the doctor can take some fill out so the stuck object can go through. Hope u feel better soon
  20. Hudgie I'm so happy that they helped you. Please don't feel Ike a failure. If you decide to have your band removed that is your decision and all it means is that you gave it a try and it didn't work "that's it". Nothing more nothing less. I am 18 days post op and I've had a very slow recovery because I had some nerve damage, one of many risks with any surgery , and I have asked my husband that in the event that something goes wrong, to please have them remove it all together, no going in to "fix" anything, just remove it. That is a very personal decision that I do not take lightly, however that will not make me a failure, not at all. So please don't feel that way. Being able to remove it, was one of the reasons that I prefer this surgery over the sleeve or the gastric bypass. I've shared all this with you because I think you are extremely courageous just to give it a chance, you took a chance, but that doesn't mean that you cannot change your mind, it's your body and you have every right to change your mind without reticule even from yourself. Hope u feel better.
  21. Great feedback from everyone. Eliminate all sugar. That may help. Good luck in your journey
  22. Thanks Hack for sharing that. I tell you it's all about perception and that's great.
  23. How long have you had the band.
