  1. Thanks NurseLaureli---It's good to know that I am not the only one wit the brusining. I didn't get cut around the belly button, my port incision is about 2 inches up from middle of belly button and 2 inches to the left (my left). You know what, on my IV, it was so cool, the burse gave me lidocain to numb my hand before she attempted the IV, didn't even feel the IV needle go in. It was awesome, and she got it on the first try. Never has a nurse do that before. Sorry to hear that your IV area is really brusied up. Hopefully in a couple of weeks we will look a little better. Good Luck!
  2. Sorry to hear that you do not have a recliner. I have relied on mine for a couple days now. But, I was going to tell you, yes, I have the itching too. Doc says its because I am healing. Either way, it sucks, I want to scratch so bad. Did anyone have bruising around their incisions? I have a major bruise on my port incision, and it had me concerned. If you have delt with this, please let me know so that I know that I am not going crazy! Thanks.
  3. Yes, all in all, I am feeling okay. I am trying to get all my liquids in, seems to be hard, I feel overfull a lot. Crazy huh??? Anyway, I have been dealing with a headache and I am not sure if it is from the surgery or from my sinuses acting up. I do have seasonal allergies. Who knows! I was at the hospital by 6am and out of the hospital same day by almost 3pm. No regrets, just wish I could lay down comfortably. That seems to be an issue as well. Other than those few things, I can honestly say that I am glad I did this. Good luck to you and cannot wait to hear how you are doing. Take Care!
