March 2013 Surgery Dates?
- Beginning the process
One bit of advice for both of you guys, make sure you get your head straight and try to change the way you view food. Food addiction as a very real thing. We are all here for you, help is always here.- Met my Surgeon and Office Staff
- drinking
I try to keep from drinking directly after finishing a meal. I try to delay that for as long as possible. It helps keep the satisfied feeling longer.- Happy as hell
High five dude! Way to go!- Last 25lbs hard to lose
All I know is if you stress about it, it will hinder your weightloss. This last stretch is nutrition sensitive. Watch out for gaining muscle instead of losing fat, some people will elevate the workout to a level that produces muscle. It's a fine line. Good luck, keep up the good work!- Need my fitness pal friends
Any of you can add me on MFP, I am aeromech on there too.- Free Lap Band Contest Finalist Voting!!
You got my vote! Good luck, you all deserve it, but you got the vote because you put yourself out there and asked! Keep us updated, this is interesting- March 2013 Surgery Dates?
Just make sure you have details to tell your doctor, like calories per day, how often hungry, exercise and frequency. Also voice your concerns about anything you have. That's the time for it and will influence how much of a fill you will receive. My doctor makes me down a small bottle of water after any adjustments, just to make sure everything is working properly. Also just to safeguard yourself after the fill, make sure to chew completely and time bites as well. Follow the rules and you should be fine.- 6 Year Bandiversary- Very grateful for the lapband and this website
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! It's not only the lifestyle change and surgery, but your attitude towards food and how you "use" it. People don't realize that food can be abused like drugs and alcohol, even severe addiction. It really sounds like you are making real progress in that department. Great work! Keep on truckin'!!- 1cup of food? Seems like a lot?
The stomach they use for demonstrations is actually the size of a 12-14 year old girls stomach. My NUT explained that to me because I was like "that is in no way big enough to represent my stomach!"- Food log
There are lots of calorie tracker apps out there. I use My Fitness Pal, it has a very good database, you can scan barcodes of the packages, and track your exercise in the same manner. It even lets you to have friends and track weight too.- Surgery Scheduled for March
Anyone who wants to can add me, I am aeromech on MFP also. Thanks- What does stuck feel like?
Chewing, bite size, and if your body can tolerate that type of food are the major factors of being stuck for me.- My banded life
I never thought twice about my decision to have the lap-band instead of any other WLS. I knew what to expect and my stomach is not modified beyond natural shape. I like that along with the adjustability factor. It's all good. Slower weight loss is healthier anyways.- general ?s

Onederland is nearing!!! Keep up the good work!- First post-op appointment...
Yup, that's the stage I am in right now and less than 1/2 cup eaten has kept me satisfied for almost 3 hours and still going!- First post-op appointment...
I feel so much better now that I can eat per the rules of being banded without having problems. I can even take pills(quartered) now, which I couldn't before the last appointment. Moving on to soft foods today. Sorry to say, this liquid fuel is for the birds though. Blood sugar has been stable in the 100-130 range without metformin, my Dr. told me to take it at night to combat the liver producing too much glucose while sleeping. This will aid in weight loss. This is a truly different experience. I am so happy I made the decision to save my life and become a healthier person!!- March 2013 Surgery Dates?

Oh yeah, make sure to get some gas-x chewable or strips. Almost forgot about that one. - Beginning the process
