Okay I thought sedation would be weird lol!! But was curious... You don't feel them refilling it?? I was curious I was looking on line it just looks painful! I'm just freaking myself out! My friend told me to stop looking up the bad things on here! Sorry if that's a lot of questions just curious!

I just was curious if anyone knew how the refill works?? When they fill the band do they sedate you or numb the area? Just curious how that works?

I actually got it done in a surgery center here in Houston... Where in tx are you traveling to? Are you having the surgery the same day? They give you the results of the EGD as soon as you wake up... You have to kind of pick your option there if it is going to cost the same as driving here (gas and what not) as to getting it done there (consultation plus EGD) than I say do it there! hope that helped

Did you already have it done? How did it go? Lol how are you feeling?

I haven't really said anything to anyone about actually getting the lap band... Just curious how to tell people.... I ask because I can't help but feel like I won't have the support from everyone... I have a friend I told I was trying to get the surgery and first thing out of her mouth was I was crazy and I just don't need that!! I was hurt, when I explained it to my mother she was just not supportive like I thought she would be... I feel like she gets angry and wants to make everything seem worse than what it really is!! just feeling like I have no support from the people that mean so much to me!! I have to do for me ultimately but would like the support from family and friends!

Omg me too!! My EGD is Tuesday!! Let me know how that goes for you I am nervous about that as well... my surgery is the 11th of April... I chose next month cause of work schedule.. But I have been really nervous and just sometimes scared and worried I've been trying to keep my mind off of these things but sometimes I just can't and all I can think about is my surgery! Have you started the protein shakes? If so which ones are you drinking I am actually having trouble finding one that I actually can drink... So far just the strawberry they have there in the office?
