  1. Peaches is it near your pelvic bone? Can you feel the port?
  2. Ladies, ladies, ladies, loose skin is why God gave us Plastic Surgeons......
  3. I feel nothing related to the band itself other than the full feeling. I do feel just the port.
  4. :help:Do any of you bandsters have your port located south of the belly button? If so, how is it. Does it hit the counter or does it get in the way of anything (blink, blink)?:kiss2: My port is currently under my bra line and interferes with the underwire in my bra. My Dr. will move it for me and someone suggested the bikini area. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks,
  5. :help:No one? I will have to check with our friends down south I guess.
  6. LeslieLee the same thing happened to me. I felt bad but knew why it happened. Doddie63 even made excuses for me, isn't that nice. What are friends for. Drink a lot of water and tea. You'll pee it out in no time!! Am I allowed to use that word?
  7. Lferland you are doing fantastic. Almost halfway there in such a short time!!! July Goal for me is to see the 180's.
  8. Ok Lisa here is goes. Slime (verb - sliming - gross) when you eat, chew and swallow the food properly ie. chew, chew, chew! it is supposed to go down smoothly. If you don't follow the rules the food gets stuck. Your body wants to help you so it creates this very thick somewhat snotty stuff to either push the food up or down. (Mostly up) PB ing in Productive Burp. You will feel a gag like vomiting motion but you will burp up the food that is stuck. It is the same motion but not as gross and bile like as regular vomiting. Trust you will know when either one happens. Don't freak out just get the stuff up and out asap because it is very uncomfortable. You DON'T want this to happen at all or very often it is rough on the esophogus. Chew lots and swallow little bits only. Hope I didn't gross you out but them's the facts. xo
  9. Glad to hear Peaches and Lisa in Toronto are doing so well. Its all uphill or should I downhill from here....
  10. Puddy I was banded on April 26th and would be happy to talk with you. We Canadians are a pretty friendly bunch up here and glad to share any info with you. Welcome North!!
  11. Hi Rose, I live in Ajax. You and Weenette and I should get together. I am away every weekend in the summer but pm me and we will work something out. You will be glad you got the band. I was done in April and have had a bit of a slow start. Probably because I am not crazy about exercise. I feel great and my clothes fit better. I still have to learn to eat slower and chew more. Sliming and pbing are not very nice. Take care
  12. Can anyone who has the port in the bikini area let me know how it is. I have mine just under my bra and it is very uncomfortable. Dr. Yau has offered to move it. I originally wanted it in the bikini area but now am not sure. Please let me know if you have any discomfort from leaning on it or if it gets in the way of anything.......you know.... Thanks for any info.
  13. Bejeweled - how are you doing. Now I'm not sure if I should put my port in the bikini area or just lower it to midway between my bellybutton and my waist. Where is yours?
  14. Welome Lisa in Toronto I will be getting my port move on July 26 at 3 pm so I won't be able to make the luncheon, bummer since I am the one that wanted to get it happening. I will be there next time for sure.
  15. Hi Peaches. Glad things went well for you. Welcome to the banded side. You can get gasX chewables they are yummy and feel like a treat. Walk around a bit it really does help with the gas. I'm with Lisa in Toronto - let 'er rip baby!! Rest up, its all up hill from here.
  16. I saw Dr. Yau today and he is going to move my port to where I originally asked for it - in the bikini area. It is done under local and my date is July 26 - no problem and no charge. I'm Happy!
  17. Jenna you look fabulous. You belly is so nice without a tummy tuck. Lucky you. I didn't know about this breast procedure. I had mine done over 20 years ago and they have a vertical scar as well as the one along the underside. I will probably do it again when I reach my goal and ask for the same style.
  18. Miss Leslielee you are doing fantastic in such a short time. Gaffman you are kicking some mighty as.... I'll bet you can hardly see that now but something else is probably getting bigger. Be proud of yourselves because I am learning that the band is just a tool and it requires great effort on our part to stick with it. Remember this will be our last fat summer. Yahoo!!!
  19. Try moving around. Walk around the house, it helps with the gas. If you are concerned call your Doctor. I hear he is great.
  20. Uniqueone you are absolutely welcome here!! I have been known to do a little stalking down your way too.
  21. I think our head will always be at war with our stomachs. I find that I must pack a lunch and snack daily because there is no place to drive thru to get a healthy lunch. I don't want mcd's or wendys besides I can't eat the bread. I bought a bran muffin today and thought I was going to die. I try to make large quantities of food at nite so that I have a ready lunch to take with. I use ground chicken and every vegetable you can think of and cook it over med heat, smashing up the meat so that it crumbles into small pieces. The tomatoes and veggies give it a bit of liquid and I put it on crackers, chew 20 times then swallow. I was also told that we should only use a baby spoon that way we can't put too much in our mouth at one time and less chance of pbing.
  22. Yes to both. I especially see it when I lay down. It is between my boobs about 3 inches down.
  23. Whew, glad you're both ok. Thought you got swallowed up by the outlaw-inlaws.
  24. Didn't they say that the out-laws were coming to town? May they have run away...
  25. If you have any doubts whatsoever, call the clinic. That's what you paid all that money for. Good luck. They will warn you about eggs. We think that because they are mushy we don't have to chew so much. NOT!
