Do you guys remember her? She was the lead singer for Jefferson Airplane / Jefferson Starship. Think "WHITE RABBIT"!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, she is a painter. John and I were invited to a Gallery showing of her artwork. And YES!! I had to buy one of her paintings. It is of a PANDA BEAR. I will post a pic when I get a chance to take one of the painting. She also signed the painting on the back and gave me a signed black paper with silver ink. This was too cool. I had my pic taken with her and they are supposed to be sending me a copy of it in a week. Only time will tell. John bought her painting of Pete Townshend of "THE WHO". He also got a pic and signed black paper as well. This was so exciting for us. She looks fantastic but older of course. She was very personable but reserved. Still a cool thing. It was fun to see John be like a kid waiting outside the back door of a concert for the star. He was so cute. THis was a really nice evening for us. We really connected tonight.

I agree don't cancel that trip. You will use that time to regroup and refresh your batteries. Of course if you can't afford the trip right now then I understand. But here is what you do for your anniversary. Get several recipes for Hawaiian dishes. Make them. Get a grass skirt from "The Party Store" or some place like that. You can make a coconut bra too. DON'T use the real coconuts unless you get the guts out otherwise you will have ants all over you. LOL!!! Serve your sweetie with the Hawaiian dishes by candelight and then do a private hula dance for him. Who cares if it is accurate? Just shake your grass skirt and those coconuts. LOL!!! Make it fun for you both. And it gets your minds off the other stuff for a short time. HUGS HUGE HUGS

OK I was doing really really good on this. NO JUNK FOOD at all. THen last night I grabbed a Dr. Pepper and a bowl of Chocolate Ice Cream. Darnit it!!! Why do we do this. However, I only had two or three drinks from the Dr. Pepper and then put it in the fridge, I think I will just dump it out. I ate a small bowl of ice cream. But man it was Haagen Daz!! CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUMMY IN MY TUMMY!!!!!!!!!

Labor Day Challenge? WHOO HOO!! That would be my birthday this year. So Sept 5 Monday is Labor Day. I am ALL IN on this one for sure. Thanks Zoe on the compliment on the new avatar. It was taken the day we went to our friends wedding. I was sick as a dog with a cold. Felt like shit. LOL!!

Anyway, thanks guys. Counseling is the good first step to fixing anything that is wrong in a relationship. Estela my grandmother used to tell me the same thing that we give up too easily. I stuck with my 11 year marriage 5 years longer than I should have because I didn't want to give up. He cheated on me with my best friend. So some of this is coming up in the counseling. John is so supportive and is wanting to work through all this. He said that it kills him with tears in his eyes to see me so HURT by all this. AWWWWWWWWW!!!!! I just love this man and I am gonna fight for this relationship and it appears he is too.

There are those single serving packages now of Tuna and crackers you can get that don't have to be refrigerated. Look for them on the Tuna aisle. Campbell's has Soup in a can that you can get. They have a tab pull top and a lid to cover so you can microwave them and drink them from the can. I get those alot. YUMMY!!! If you want to cook something the night before then I would suggest a Skinless Lemon Pepper breast of chicken from Tyson in your meat section. I fry one up with Olive oil (less than 1 tsp), slow cook till the inside is done then turn the heat up and scortch the outside for the golden look. YUMMY!!! Put the chicken breast in the frig overnight. Then the next morning you can grab that breast and cut it lengthwise down the middle and put one piece in a pita bread (or a tortilla wrap, whichever you can do, or nothing at all) with some sprouts and I like to use a dijon mustard instead of Mayo. It is devine!!!!!!!! If you go out to eat at the office then there is always something you can get. I would stick to Soups and salads when going out with the office. Hope this helps.

ok I am back in this thing. I weighed 238 lbs yesterday morning. That is down 3 lbs from my last weigh in. WHOO HOO!!

Hello: Just a quick note to let you know that John and I made it through our first session. We discussed how his relationship with the other woman affected me and our relationship. The counselor was good in that she didn't take sides one way or the other. She did point out to John that our trust was broken by his relationship with this person. We are going to do separate counseling sessions starting next week then come together as a couple to work together. So I go on Monday and then John goes on Tuesday of next week. We did not get too deep into our issues as there was not enough time, but the counselor wanted to meet with us individually first and then meet as a couple. She feels and so do we that there are issues to look at individually first before the couple things can be attacked. She stated that this approach was a "quick fast track" to getting to the core issues. I have to agree with her on that. John and I both have "baggage" in our lives that are affected our relationship. IF we can get through those then we should be able to face whatever comes in our lives together as a couple. This counselor so far is a good choice. She listened and allowed us to vent as much as we needed. She was open to anything we had to say and she offered her input when appropriate. She pointed out some things to John and then to me about the other woman issue that made perfect sense to us both. I am feeling MUCH better about our relationship now than I have in a long long time. Our relationship over the past week has been like we started anew and fresh again. More loving and caring and sharing than we have done in ages. Still some issues to work through but I think we are finally doing that. SIGH!! THanks for all your support and your ear to lean on through this. HUGS and love you

All of mine opened up like that. I had to keep them covered with gauze and use neosporin on them. Be careful with the neosporin though cause it can irratate some people and it will eat the glue. Mine opened up big time but they all closed within a week to 10 days. I have beautiful scars that are almost non-existent now. So just keep a watch on them and if they start draining any thick liquid that is cloudy then go see your doc. If they drain a pink to reddish clear liquid that is normal and not signs of an infection. I had about a 1/2 inch hole deep in my port incision that closed up nicely. Keep it dry as possible with the dressings. Hope this helps.

We didn't do dance recitals or anything like that. Mom was raising us herself and she didnt' have the extra money. BOO HOO!! You sure do look cute though. LOVE that pic. I have walked the Los Angeles 5K this past March and it was loads of fun. The walking / running program seems workable. If I get the OK from my podiatrist next week then I will certainly join you.

Although this is accurate there are other reasons for excessive PBing episodes other than being too tight. Eating too fast. Eating too much. Trying to drink with your meals. Eating the wrong foods (like breads, rice, etc) Some of us bandsters have problems with those foods and they can trigger a PB. Just be mindful of "why" you are doing alot of PBing. It isn't always about being too tight. IT can be related to other factors.

I haven't dealt with Kaiser but I live in Van Nuys. We should like you know meet sometime or something. LOL!! We can you know like talk Valley language. Good luck with the insurance issues. I have Pacificare PPO and tried to get reimbursed but no luck.

If you want Jello then mix it up as you would normally but don't let it set up all the way. Let it be really soft. I would even drink the warm jello mix. If you let the Jello set up then take SMALL bites and let it dissolve in your mouth before you try to swallow it. Do not chew it and then try to swallow PLEASE let it dissolve completely.

Thanks guys. I needed to hear all these comments. Lisa darlin the eerie green and yellow lights are from taking that pic in the mirror. The shirt is the same as in the other pic. IT is really the blue color. I guess the mirror had a tint to it. I am home from the friend's wedding and heading to beddie bye now. HUGS to all. Getting over a bad cold I picked up just before heading on this trip. I was so miserable in those pics. I was a suffering dog. LOL!!!

I already posted these to the before and after but wanted to share them here as well. I will delete this thread in a day or two.
