  1. Hey I have this Lucky Bamboo that is in desparate need of repotting. Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I do cuttings with the stalks? If so how? One more thing: I have a white Orchid that John gave me for Mother's Day this year. It is still alive can you believe that? It seems to be thriving in the pot it is in. I was just wondering if it should be put in a larger pot or just leave it be. I know they are fragile so don't wanna risk losing it. Any gardeners out there???
  2. DING DING DING!!! You win the gold ring. I love that song.
  3. Keep guessing on the second song. The first one I posted was "Werewolves of London" so renebean you got it right.
  4. Here is another one: The night you came into my life Wll it took the bones of me, took the bones of me You blew away my storm and strife And it shook the bones of me, shook the bones of me By the way, I do know why you stayed away I will keep tongue-tied next time.
  5. Barb would that be "Love Hurts" by Nazereth Here's my contribution: I saw a Werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand Walking through teh streets of SOHO in the rain He was looking for a place called Lee Ho Fook's Going to get a big dish of beef chow mein Ahhh-ooooo
  6. I had Lasik done about two years ago. I too was concerned about being awake. They can give you a valium to relax you but they need you awake for the procedure. Besides it would take longer to put you asleep then to actually do the procedure. It takes all of 5 to 10 min per eye. Seriously! I even went back for a Monovision as one of my eyes needed a touch up. It is NOT painful at all. Nothing about the procedure is painful. Where are you located? I can highly recommend the facility I went to.
  7. Cool Beans looking forward to it. Where are all the other SoCal Bandsters?
  8. NO loss this week. No biggie though. I have been slacking some. Gotta get my exercise going again.
  9. I broke and had to have a real cup of coffee tonight. I have been drinking this substitute called "Raja's Cup" which is really good but I missed my good ole cup of "International Caffe Vienna". Well that was a mistake. I have horrible heart palpitations now. I also have some muscular tenderness like when you do too many butterfly exercises (you know "I must I must I must increase my bust" exercises.) OK so back to Raja's Cup for me. Damnit. LOL!!
  10. If you want I can put them side by side. I don't think it was all that big. LOL!!
  11. What beautiful blue eyes you have. LOL!! Sounds like the big bad wolf. LOL!!
  12. OK guys the August 30th Tuesday is right around the corner. Who is in for a Van Nuys get together? I will be willing to open up my house to the events. I have a swimming pool so bring suits. Don't worry I have a fence around the property and we will have seclusion. LOL!! We can cook out or order in or I can fix something or whatever. I have wine, Water, crystal light, we can get some beer, or other hard liquor or none at all. I am easy. Just need an idea of who is coming and when you guys wanna meet and all that jazz. I can send directions to the house to whoever is coming.
  13. OK Jenna, I am gonna holler so put your muffs on your ears. LOL!! No seriously LBT, as far as I know doesn't have anything in writing but it is understood that we do not endorse a particular entity. We also do not allow advertising either, hence the reason one particular thread was locked and the person was informed that it was not Kosher to advertise their services. What Dr. Pleatman has done, in my opinion, did not fall into that category of blatantly advertising his services, with the one exception of listing what he charges for fills. But there again that was only done after he was asked. He did not come here to drum up business. He was asked to come and share what he felt comfortable sharing at no cost. I for one am glad that we have someone here that can shed some light on or confirm emergent situations that we might not be aware of. I suggest you not use this forum to ask Dr. Pleatman questions which should be asked in Doctor / Patient relationship. That would almost qualify as a violation of the Privacy Laws in place now. I would suggest that if you have specific questions then you send him a Private Message or better still contact his office directly.
  14. Being an RN, I am not sure why inserting a breathing tube (which goes in the trachea and not the esophagus) would be an issue with regards to bandsters. The placement of the band itself would not be a factor when inserting a breathing tube. Two very different areas of the body and far enough apart to not interfere with each other to the point of needing a tracheostomy. Having just gone through my CPR training for my RN license they did not mention anything about the short smacks on the back being more effective. However, there are different ways to perform the Heimlich when it pertains to the age of the victim. The idea of smacks on the back might be what you are referring to.
  15. OK it is on its way. UPS Overnite delivery. lol
  16. Subject: Fw: Men Are Just Happier People Men Are Just Happier People-- What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. chocolate is just another snack. You can be President. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a Water park. You can wear NO shirt to a water park. Car mechanics tell you the truth. The world is your urinal. You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky. You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Same work, more pay. Wrinkles add character. Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100. People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them. The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected. New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. One mood all the time. Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks. A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend. Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack. Three pairs of shoes are more than enough. You almost never have strap problems in public. You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes. Everything on your face stays its original color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck. You can play with toys all your life. Your belly usually hides your big hips. One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all seasons. You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can "do" your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.. You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes. No wonder men are happier.
  17. Prayers go out to your sister. First though did they say why the lesions developed? Sounds suspicious to me. If she gets a second band what is to say she won't develope then a second time? Gotta find the reason for them developing the first time before getting a second larger band. Keep us posted.
  18. I am 16 months out. Not sure what you want to know. I am doing great and haven't regretted this decision day one.
  19. Shirts sound devine. Can't wait to see them. I will try to give you a call over the weekend.
  20. Hey I am going into the chat room for about an hour. If no one shows up then I am outta there for the night.

Um Mrs. Toadfoot ALL are invited. See my post. I would never ever NOT invite you and the rest of the Toadfoot clan.
  22. Tuesday August 30th is cool with me. Heck I can even host the event at my house. BRING bathing suits. We can grill out or I can make something for us to eat. Any ideas? I am in Van Nuys. Right off the 405 at Sherman Way. In fact my back yard is the 405. LOL!!
  23. What are you nutz? LOL!! Of course reschedule that surgery. I had port revision surgery and although I was better able to move around than when I had the initial surgery I can't imagine going on a honeymoon after that. No making whoopee!! No swimming!! No swinging from the rafters!! POSTPONE that surgery. Enjoy your honeymoon and then get it done. Too much to deal with pre wedding to then have to deal with recovering from a surgery too.
  24. This is a question for Alexandra who is still on vacation I assume. I think she and Alex, owner of the board, started that category. I was shocked to see only some are listed. If you can bump the threads with a short post then I can sticky them for you.
  25. As one of the moderators, I would like to be made aware of what specific thread you are referring to. Can you please provide the name of the thread?
