  1. Grand babies = big spending doesn't even touch the surface. LOL!! I am so excited about the one gonna be here in a few days and the one that will be here in 9 months. I love all my grandbabies.
  2. Calories = 1350 Protein = 68 G Water = 80 ounces and still counting. Exercise = Sciatica still acting up, but is getting better.
  3. Lisa my food is measured for the entree's and I have to supplement each meal with veggies and fruits and low carbs. So if I just eat the entree's then I would not be anywhere near the Protein mark. I think you are hitting the mark you just don't realize it. B: 4 oz cottage chz -- that is a 1/2 cup so 13 g Protein L: 4 oz chicken or fish -- 1 oz of chicken breast cooked is 8 g Protein 1 oz of flounder has 6 g of Protein veggies --- depending on the veggies some have trace protein in them tblspn olive oil D: 4 oz chicken or fish -- see above steamed veggies tblspn olive oil 1 cup pudding made w/ 1% milk
  4. OK here is the run down. No wonder I am so tired and my back is out. WHEW!! First, my mother is having surgery on the 30th to remove a diseased portion of her colon due to diverticulitis. Second, I am going to Tucson on the 31st for a Gem and Bead show for my Jewelry Biz. Third, I have a daughter that is delivering her second child and my 7th grandchild on the 24th Fourth, I just found out that my youngest daughter, who got married June of 04, is pregnant and most likely due in Sept. SO I have lots going on in just the FIRST month of 2006. :omg: Plus I am dealing with the loss of the band and changing my eating habits. SIGH!! Calgon take me to the Islands and give me a chocolate bath. NOW!!
  5. The only thing I am sure about in this battle of the bulge, bulger, bulgest is that you gotta do portion control, count calories, and get your water in every day. That is working for me right now. If I tried to only count Fat or only count Carbs then I would be lost. I am having a hard enough time to make sure I get in my 60 to 70 g of Protein a day. Again we are all different and what works for some doesn't for others. Nutrisystem seems to be my niche for now. The funny thing is I tried it years ago and just rebelled big time. So now I am facing it with full force and so far so good. I personally think Adkins is not a healthy diet regimen. I like eating raw veggies and hearing them crunch in my mouth cause I pretend they are salty chips and the low fat ranch dressing I dip them in is cheese dip. Mind games. Gotta play them. IT is working for me. Too much of any one type of food will deplete necessary enzymes in our system. It just doesn't make sense to not eat a balanced meal to me. I tried to follow Adkins just before I was banded and I just couldn't get my head wrapped around it. Just didn't seem right to me. Do what works for you!! THat is my new motto.
  6. B- Nutrisystem cereal w/ blueberries and 1 cup Fat Free Milk, 1 slice of bread w/ grape jelly = 350 Calories and 20g Protein L- Nutrisystem minestrone soup, salad w/ blueberries and strawberries, 1 slice of cheese S- 1 apple, 1 slice of cheese D- Nutrisystem Chili w/ beans, apple and peanut butter, steamed broccoli and squash Water: 80oz and still counting Exercise: None today due to Back issues Personal: No eating past 7 pm; no unauthorized snacking. Calorie: 1350 Protein: 68 Vitamins / Calcium: YUP
  7. Lisa I hear ya. I am doing Nutrisystem and man let me tell you, the calorie counting is crucial. I am averaging between 1200 and 1400 calories a day. On the low end days I treat myself to one of their yummy Desserts. On the high end days I don't have one. I have been counting everything that goes into my body down to the butter I put on my whole wheat bread. But it is working. I have lost 3 pounds since being on this diet. Dr. Billy would be so proud of us HUH? LOL!!! I eat three meals, and one snack between lunch and dinner a day. I am eating tons of fruit and veggies. I manage to get in at least 60 to 80 g of Protein a day. It is important to count Protein as well. Lisa when you get in that sexy outfit I want a pic. LOL!! I would do the lapband all over again but wouldn't do it in Mexico.
  8. Calories = 1398 Protein = 78 G Water = 80 ounces actually more than that but I lost count. SHould just count how many time to the bathroom instead. LOL! Exercise = Sciatica still acting up, but I hope to do some walking tomorrow. And by the way today was weigh in for me. I am down THREE pounds. WHOO HOO!!! I am down FIVE since the first of the month. I am so thrilled. I am beating this demon to the ground even without a band. WHOO HOO!!!!
  9. Calories = 1398 Protein = 78 G Water = 80 ounces actually more than that but I lost count. SHould just count how many time to the bathroom instead. LOL! Exercise = Sciatica still acting up, but I hope to do some walking tomorrow.
  10. If you come to Hollywood PLEASE let me know. I am a hop skip and jump from there. WOuld love to meet up. That is if you have time for the little people. LOL!!!!
  11. Amy I am hearing since United Healthcare bought out Pacificare that the chances of the band being covered are better now. I am waiting the 6 months and will most likely persue the thought of getting Pacificare to cover it. AT least I am gonna try if I still feel that way in 6 months. Right now I don't want any more surgeries for a long long time. LOL!!
  12. Yeah did I miss something? Where are the before and after pics of your surgery. I wanna see that flat tummy. Well and the rest of you too. LOL!! POST POST PICS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!
  13. I wanna play. LOL!! I have added my Calorie and Protein Intake cause I think that is important to see what you are taking in. Did anyone know 1 Bartlett Pear has 98 calories and 1 g of Protein? Fascinating!! LOL B- Nutrisystem Cereal w/ strawberries and 1/4 cup Whole Milk, cup of tea, 1/2 slice of bread w/ grape jelly = 310 Calories and 8 g Protein L- Nutrisystem chicken salad w/ melba toast, 20 baby carrots w/ lite ranch dressing, 1 med apple, 1 slice of American cheese = 385 Calories and 13 g Protein S- 1 med Anjou Pear (YUM) and 1 slice of American cheese = 198 Calories and 19 g Protein D- Water: YUP got in 64 oz so far Exercise: None today due to Back issues Personal: No eating past 7 pm Calorie: Protein: Dr. Billy and Dennis would be so proud of me. They kept trying to get me to count calories but I rebelled every step of the way. Now it is like second nature to count calories. It really makes a difference people.
  14. $15,500 = Initial surgery plus travel to Mexico $500 = Extra trip to Mexico for a wasted trip to check out port $300 = Dr. Billy consult and two fills $3000 + = Port Revision surgery with Dr. Billy (insurance covered most of this) $?? = cost of endoscopy with Port Revision surgery $?? = cost of endoscopy with diagnosis of Erosion $28,000 = cost of band removal with Dr. Billy (insurance covered most of this) $????? clothes so I agree with LaMadam I would do it again if I had the chance just not in Mexico. Only Dr. Billy for me and only if the Insurance will cover it.
  15. Hallelujah!!! and Praise Jesus and pass the ketchup!!! Got a Explanation of Benefits from PacifiCare today. It states that the only amount I am responsible for is $900 so they paid for the bulk of the surgery. YIPPEE!!!! Gotta love Dr. Billy.
  16. Lots to think about. I am still struggling with this. I hope to make a decision soon. I will certainly keep you guys posted.
  17. Food: 1213 Cal and 98 g Protein Water: 80 oz Exercise: NOPE NIL NADA - Wanted to do Yoga and walk but Back said NO WAY JOSE!!! The food with Nutrisystem is wonderful. I love it all. I have a nice Breakfast, lunch, then a snack around 4p then supper around 6p or 7p but no later. Drink my Water all day long. Which means I am in the bathroom the other half of the day. I also discoverd I love Anjou Pears. YUMMY!!! 2 veggies, 2 fruits, every day makes me a happy camper.
  18. Water = Yup got in 72 oz yesterday Exercise = Sciatica acting up so no exercise for me this past week. Working on getting it in for next week. Gonna try out my new Yoga DVD. Food = Nutrisystem is a wonderful thing. 1200 to 1400 calories per day. Weight = weigh in is on Thursday. Let's see if it works.
  19. I am almost positive they had something to do with it. Too many of us reported the issue to them. They assured me via email they were on top of it. So I am sure they had it pulled.
  20. I still don't know yet!! LOL!! I keep looking at the application and thinking I need to get my video shot. Then I think but Cannes is beckoning me. LOL!!! At this very minute, Cannes is winning. Ask me in about 5 minutes and Biggest Loser will win. LOL!!!
  21. I am so thankful that you did not listen to your Mexico doc. If he is the same one I think he is then I am extremely happy you went to see Billy. You can heal from this and at least you still have your band. Dr. Billy will watch you closely from now on for sure. I am offering my support via telephone just PM me and I will send my number to you.
  22. OF COURSE I remember you. I am so happy to see you posting again. How is ole Ireland? I still wanna get there to visit sometime. HUGS!! I hear you on the depression issue. I fight that every day, on top of my eating now as well. It is a wonder I even get outta bed sometimes, but somehow I manage to do it. I know you will too. So glad to see you back posting. Don't stay away so long next time.
  23. Found this data. Hope it helps. This is for a 1/2 chicken breast, no skin, and boiled. www.nutritiondata.com
  24. Darla: I can't even think about rebanding for 6 months. If I do have another surgery it will be to get rebanded. But at this point I just can't handle the thought of another surgery. I am struggling every day to keep away from the demons. I am averaging about 1400 to 2000 calories a day. I know that is way too much. I started on Nutrisystem and that will help me regulate the intake. THank goodness. I have you guys for support and JOhn is a sweetie. I have my jewelry business to keep me busy during the day and to keep my hands busy. SO that is a plus. I am taking it one day at a time. So that is all I can do for now. Keep me in your prayers. Thanks guys!!
