Ah, bbq'd mushrooms are my favorite, but I can't eat them because they get stuck (wah wa wah) the other devistation is eggs. The only way I liked eggs was scrambled and omelettes and can't eat them either way since being banded.
My Dr. Prescribed it and it doesn't have the phenphan in it like the 90s pill on the shelves that gave everyone heart problems among other side effects. I didn't take it because I don't like taking drugs or anything for that matter that alters the body. I think it comes down to personal preference and I absolutely trust my surgeon and know he would never prescribe anything that would be detrimental to my health.
Anyone else feel like their band is a monster that has a life if its own? I had a fill at the beginning of July and it has been great until this last week. It is tight and I can only drink warm liquids and when I lay down it is talking up a storm of gurgles. Anyone else experience this and did it go back to normal without having to get an unfill?
I haven't even attempted pasta. Did bread a few times and it is okay if it is thin and toasted. I don't have a problem with quinoa so when I'm craving pasta I make what I want using quinoa. I can't stomach scrambled eggs, chicken is hit and miss, mushrooms, and corn are often a disaster even when chewed slowly and carefully
I'm a teacher and have 5-6 water bottles in my room at any given time 1 at every station in my room. My kids laugh at me because they know station 1 has hot water. I always start my day with 20 oz of warm water. Warm water has its own flavor. In the summer I do a lot of detox water that has mint cucumbers and green tea in it... I don't like artificial sweetners so water is really my only option.
The,pain in your band could be scar tissue. Mine popped/ripped finally throwing basketballs at practice and then it didn't bother me anymore. I could workout without any post workout discomfort. I also, find if I'm not drinking enough water my band gets too tight.
I drink hot water every morning. Which can help your throat. You could always add a little lemon to it as well. My surgeon suggests no coffee because of what people add to their coffee. I like it plain Americano, espresso, cold brew...
