  1. Hey everyone. Just wanted to touch base with the energy thing. I have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. I was always the first up. When my alarm went off I was a wake. Not now, but once I am up I am ok. Not to tired during the day. Boy when about 7 or 8 pm. Comes around I am done. All I want to do is sit and sleep. At least I'm not dragging all day. This is our first thanksgiving without our son, so I don't have to cook this year. We have a friend that owns a really nice restaurant and he has a special thanksgiving dinner. So my husband and I are going there. I get to nibble off his plate. Thanks for everyone who chats on here. I don't always have time to reply, but it is such a help to read what and how everyone is doing.
  2. Mine is really close to that. I am not allowed to drink 30 to 45 minutes before and after meals. I am only allowed 2 oz of food.
  3. Congrats. Can't wait to hear about your journey.
  4. Does anyone have trouble with scrambled egg? I love them, but I can only take maybe 2 or 3 bites and my stomach feels crazy. It doesn't hurt but at the same time I can't eat anymore. At my 4 week check my Dr. Said to keep eating only the 2 oz. 3 times a day. That is hard. I usually only eat 2 times a day. But I always eat my protein.
  5. Thanks for the feed back. My husband says he can see the weight loss already too. I can tell in my clothes. They fit better for sure. I am definitely not eating over 800 calories a day. Usually it's around 500 -600. I use my fitness pal to track everything. I am on my elliptical everyday. My husband is going to start walking with me after work so hopefully it will start going down a little faster. I was sleeved Oct 9. By the way those look delicious. Do you find them in the lunch meat section.?
  6. I hope not. I started with the lap band in 2012. Starting weight was 261 lowest 174. Then had lots of problems. Went back up to 228.9. Had it removed then did the sleeve. Love it so far. It seems like I lost faster with the band, but as long as I am losing I am good.
  7. Hey everyone. Just a quick update. I am 4 weeks post op. My high at pre op diet was 228.9. Weight at surgery was 222.2. My 4 weeks post op weight is 202.4. A total of 26.5 lbs lost. So happy about it. I thought it would have been more than that. In 4 weeks I lost 19.8 lbs. Is this about average? Where was everyone else at, at 4 weeks post op?
  8. I was sleeved on 10/9 Day of surgery I weighed 222.2 1 week post op I weighed 213.4 Down 8.8 lbs in 1 week. Amazing. I hope all of you are doing good as well. I would love to hear everyone's weekly loss.
  9. I just had my sleeve on Oct 9. Would love to have a buddy or 2
  10. I should hear by this wed. Regarding my pre-auth. If they aprove then surgery in 2 weeks.
  11. Oh. The fluroscopy?
  12. What does the leak test consist of
  13. I saw my doctor on Friday. He said they will keep me for 23 hours. Such an odd time.
  14. Thanks. I went in on Friday to see if I can switch. The girls submitted all my paperwork to aetna yesterday. They said I should get an answer within 2 weeks. Then I can start my pre op diet . So I can have my sleeve in about a month. I called my insurance and checked with them also. They told me that I didn't have to go through all the testing like before because the same doctor is doing it. They have all my info already. Nice
  15. Thanks. I think I would prefer to be in the comfort of my own home. Either way I will be happy.
  16. Hi everyone! I was banded in 2012 and now going to start the process to be sleeved. When I was banded aetna had me go through a 3 month process . Do I have to do all the same things again or is it quicker.
  17. Thanks. Nice to hear. I heat everyone saying they had to stay at least 1 night. I would rather be home. I did fine after the band so I am hoping for the same.
  18. Hi everyone! This is my first time posting. Do you still have to go through all the testing and months of waiting to switch from the band to the sleeve? Or is it quicker than the first time? I have aetna.
  19. Does everyone have to stay overnight when they are sleeved? The appointment setter I talked to said that the doctor usually does it ad an out patient. But you stay all day. Is that normal?
  20. Has anyone used Dr. Lee Au in Beverly Hills? I have a consultation with him this week to have my band removed and get sleeved. I was banded in April of 2012. Just having to keep taking fluid out because I can't swallow anything not even water. I am slowly gaining weight. Would love to know how this doctor is if anyone can help.
