I have to be the oddball ... I suppose lol well unfortunately for me walking, heating pads, tums, gas x, tea didnt work i called my surgeon and was given a pill that dissolved under my tongue i also began eating 1 fiber gummy that same day and my gas pains are gone thank god have occasional burping pain but not as severe as it was a few days ago im 1wk and 2 days post op

My parents, brother, sister, grandmothers, and aunt know all supportive! My co-worker who sits next to me knows because she blurted it out but i was gonna tell her anyways because we always talk and another girl who is next to her knows because she is just nosey and im sure overheard with her supersonic ears and she asked me so i told they both respect not to tell but who knows i have no real good excuse but the others know im having surgery i guess i can say i had a hernia? Seems to work even though not to my knowledge i actually did not have one I know ill have some who ask im not sure at this point im at a stage of i dont care who knows or what they say its already done and i work with nothing but toothpicks. Lol back to work Monday we'll see how it goes

I was banded 2/13 just seen my nutrionist i was told to start full liquids, cream soups and since i was already eating a spoon of applesauce in order to take my meds she said i could also have purees/mushies since nothing has made me sick but taking it slowing had some cottage cheese and a bit of avocado after almost 4 weeks of liquids that meal was amazing!

This may be a silly question but how do you know if food is stuck? And is there a way to help it down? Just want to prepare for the day if i ever get stuck

I was getting severe gas pains Nothing worked for me not walking, not a heating pad, not gasx, not tums... I ended up calling my surgeon they gave me a pill that dissolves under my tongue also that same day i started taking 1 fiber gummy. It helped me tremendously i am 1 week post op still have slight gas but nothing like before

Congrats!! I got banded 2/13 1 week post op! What to expect.. Pain i myself was in pain during recovery they drugged me up good sent me to the room after that i wasnt in much pain but stayed on receiving my pain meds from the nurses! Never wait for the pain! The first few days were a little rough wasnt aloud to eat after surgery until the next day after my test then was allowed broth water popsicle jello tea took a sip of each ate the popsicle i was done. Went home that day barely ate the next two days i was just in no mood to eat felt a little sick and was sore. By day 5 I was feeling much better was able to eat more. But everyone is different

I am so emotional today out of no where i have been doing so good but today i hit my limit. I am tired of these clear liquids, i feel like im starving!! And i have no idea when i can move to full liquids? On top of that my weight is at a stand still i havent lost any weight which is ok im not to worried about that right now.(well let me clarify i have lost but not from my surgery weight) Im 1 week post op weighed 226 came out of surgery and went home 2 days later at 238 i know from all the saline, bloating, etc today 226.8 finally that is going down. Just so tired of broth, flavored and non flavored water, popsicles ughhhh.

I went to costco and got the premier chocolate protein shakes put lots of ice with it, loved it did my two weeks easily. Had surgery 2/13 now strictly only on clear liquids oh how im dreading it the first few days were ok now im sick of it cant wait to get back to full liquids!! Where are you having surgery? I had mine at St Josephs -Dr Lufti amazing surgeon in Chicago
