  9. I haven't had my surgery yet but I had my gall bladder removed back in August. I went in as an out patient was there for four hours and went home. They made four small incisions and I was on pain medication for about a week. The best thing was to keep getting up and walking around.
  10. I am so happy for you. Good luck. Can't wait for my turn.
  11. Went to my first Support group last night. I meant a bunch of wonderful and nice people. People like me who are still going thru all the steps before surgery, some have their surgery date, and alot that already had the surgery. I really enjoyed talking to everyone and listening to their stories.

  13. I am new here and am looking forward to having people help thru my new journey. I haven't had the surgery yet but am looking to have the RNY gastric bypass. I only have one more test to do and they will submit it to my insurance for approval. I am getting excited but also nervous. I have been tossing this back and forth for over a year to have the surgery. I have done lots of research and following the forums and realized this is what I really want. I didn't become heavy until my early 30's and have continued to gain weight since. I have tried numerous diets and lost a few pounds and always gain it back plus some. Looking forward to becoming healthier and smaller. I know I have a long road ahead of me.
  14. So far me and my husband has tried the vanilla and the chocolate. The vanilla tasted nasty but the chocolate was good.
