  1. Panic attack slowly subsiding. I had an endoscopy last week in which biopsies were done and I found out I have Barrett's esophagus. Now the sleeve is not the best option for me. I had researched this procedure for a year. I have a tentative surgery date of the 30th. It's disappointing and scary to be told the Bypass is the better choice. Need some words buddies...;(
  2. Everything completed and submitted to BCBS! I'm anxious for the preauth results and getting more and more nervous about the surgery on 30th.( if approved) starting to get cold feet, looking at all the side effects etc... Ugh!
  3. I'm still waiting on approval after my Dec 4th NUT appointment. I'm hoping that approval is quick!
  4. I would like to request a nice fresh thread to read during my surgery recovery that's plum full-a Big Ol' Country and Pokey Chic type drama... I do believe that'd get me to right ya'all. ha! Well, it was pretty damn entertaining you have to admit.

  6. As anyone had trouble with the sublingual b12? It is making my tongue white and seems to interfere with swallowing a bit? I'm stopping it until my next appointment. Also Calcium chewable are huge! I have been doing good getting water in at 64+ oz a day, vitamins, and protein. Three more NUT appointments left.
  7. I can think of a few things.. -Trying on clothing before purchasing it - Enjoying swimming-wearing a swimsuit - Comfortably eating at social events particularly small dining events - Not hearing chairs creaking their displeasure when you sit on them
  8. Hold off one more day Myers!!! My birthday is April 27th! what a wonderful child you will have born on that day. The joy you must feel.:-)
  9. My orthopedic doc said he would write a recommendation for surgery due to patella femoral something or other, arthritis, and high risk for bilateral knee replacement. You'd think that would be enough but I'm still skeptical about insurance approval... Feeling anxious.
  10. Don't even get me started on how the evil sales giants manipulate the vulnerabilities of the masses for the almighty dollar. Makes me sick. * poses hands up in front of face* Picture this, its late night television watching after a particularly difficult day of self loathing and there it appears... In all of its super-sheened, high definition glory, dripping with the cure- the fleeting satisfaction for what ails you... It's soooooooo beautiful.......
  11. Diagnosed with PCOS two years ago, symptoms so bad hysterectomy was done shortly after. I feel much better now, but have gained a lot of weight since causing aggravation to other conditions. Hoping the sleeve will help. I wish insurance understood that PCOS and hysterectomy don't make weight loss any easier as we age. Not that it was easy beforehand. :-)
  12. Poop Perfume!! How convenient. . Duplicate! Darn! How do I delete it? Swiping doesn't work :-(
  13. I love that this went to a donut discussion... Hilarious! Oh wait... Just to keep to topic, a polka DOT sprinkled one.
  14. I have considered telling people something other than the truth, really contemplated all the various embarrassing scenarios within my circle of family friends and coworkers and after all that worrying what I have decided is why not say what I've chosen? I am proud to be making a healthy preventative choice for my future. Those people who talk trash, bring people down, haters, and non supportive types will always be there doing what they do because they're miserable. I am not interested in what they think. We need to surround ourselves with healthy individuals and stop giving power to the sick ones. I am practicing my mantra.... I did make this choice for myself, and I feel fantastic. Thank you for noticing! What do you think?
  15. I have been worried about the same thing. My BMI is 39.5 at surgeon consult. I was advised to not lose, and if I did happen to gain 7 lbs I'd be at a 40 BMI. I have BCBS and am worried with comorbidities of patella femoral syndrome (bad knees) PCOS, past slipped discs in lower back, fibromyalgia, (so I'm told) degenerative discs in neck, arthritis... But no diabetes, high blood pressure, or any of the main criteria that the insurance company thinks are valid. I met my deductible, have my last nutritional appt. Dec 2nd. Theoretically, I could have surgery in December if all stars align and I am shined favorably upon..... Am I a terrible person for wanting to carb load to make weight?! And if I do isn't there a criteria of having morbid obesity for 2 years? What's morbid? Ugh... F*#+* ing insurance company criteria is morbid I say... ;-/ feeling frustrated and worried.
  16. Blood work back says I have hpilori infection, two weeks of antibiotics should clear it up. Ick! No wonder I have heartburn! I have my third nutrition appointment in a week, scheduling my psychological exam, but nothing seems to be coming forth from docs office regarding requirements. I wonder when they send to get approval from insurance? Any idea?
  17. @bailey Ikr?! I looked at mine and said well, she's thick, not thin has the kind of Botticelli looking thing going for her. However, adding the joint pain, back pain, cellulite and depression she looks less happy in my opinion.
