  1. Thank you all for the feedback. Like I said in my original post, I struggle with the thought of it even bring worth it. I honestly think that it's a mind game. I KNOW that IF I let myself gorge (even on one or two of my favorite meals), I would feel like crap afterwards. I can only imagine I would be filled with regret. I guess I just needed to hear other people's opinions to my thoughts. I HAVE worked hard to get to where I am. I went from being 222 on Dec 24th to 208 today. Not to mention I'm in the process of making a life long change, not just a change for surgery right? Okay... Well... I guess I'll write this one down in the book if mind games and let it go...
  2. My doctor didn't really give me any "orders" so to day. Just told me that I was doing great, told me liquids only for the day before my surgery. Do you mean, I should do what I think my doctor would suggest??? Or I should do only what I think my doctor would approve of??? I would have to say that is part of my struggle...
  3. Okay... I have an internal struggle that I just want to throw on the table and see if I'm alone in this or if others have been down this road... If you have any thoughts or comments, feel free to share. So I'm scheduled for my surgery on the 26th. I am 5 lbs BELOW my surgery goal weight that was set by my surgeon. I do not have a pre-op diet due to that fact. The day before surgery I am to have liquids only, and that's about the extent of my "pre-op diet". Anywho... I have been so strict on my diet and exercise routine for the past couple of months to meet my surgery criteria, however, as surgery approaches and the days are going by quicker... I'm finding myself in a bit of a panic mode. Not because of the surgery itself, but because I have there bursts of realization that this is THE last week of my life that I will EVER have the chance to eat like a FAT GIRL!!! I KNOW that I will be able to have bites of the food I love down the road (way down the road) but I am not going to let myself go there. Those small bites are how I got to where I am today. I once was a healthy, slim, physically active girl. So I know how it's possible to flip that switch in a seconds time. My delema is... To pig out or not to pig out. I have about 5 lbs "play room" in my weight with a week to go. Now... I have part of my brain SCREAMING at me "ARE YOU F'N SERIOUS!?!?" Because I've put so much work into this already, and it IS about making a FOREVER life style change! Then I have the other side of my brain, saying "Do it, it's your last shot at it, and your having surgery anyway..." I guess I feel guilty for even having this discussion an these thoughts... Feed back... Please. Side note, please don't be too harsh on me. I haven't commuted a crime.... Yet.
  4. That is great to hear! I'm super excited!!! I check in at 8:30 (I'm second in her schedule for the day). I'm ready to get this show on the road!!!
  5. I just googled it... Holy Moses!!! It looks amazingly good! It's looks like a Danish pastry mixed with a cake...??? Idk what it really is, but it looks super tasty!
  6. So excited!!! My Pre-Op appointment is this morning. My surgery is scheduled for the 26th at Kaiser in Fremont and I can hardly wait! I'm looking forward to starting my "second chance" @ life. So very blessed to have this opportunity.
  7. Wow!!! You look great! That is a great deal of change for two weeks! Congrats!
  8. I'm also scheduled for the 26th. I have my pre-op appointment tomorrow (13th). I should find out all of my details then. From speaking with the surgery scheduler, it doesn't sound like I'll have to do a "pre-op diet", she just mentioned the day before surgery would be liquids only.... Idk... But I'm praying she is right!
  9. I'm scheduled for Feb 26th!!! Woo-Hoo! Im in Cali... Super excited! You have a 3 week pre-op diet??? Is it calorie based or just strictly liquids?
  10. ****** IT'S OFFICIAL ****** Surgery date has been scheduled!!! Tuesday, February 26th!!! I can't believe this is all actually happening now! SO excited!!!
  11. Thanks friends!!!! I think my excitement has set it!
  12. 211.2 on record!!! Woo-Hoo!!!!
  13. Nope. I talked to Lizette (the Med Asst) today and age said she is forwarding my file to Dr Chu to review and then once she gives the "ok" the surgery scheduler will contact me to schedule. She said that I HAVE to be at the exact date (or lower) to schedule and I have to be at the exact weight (or lower) the day of surgery or surgery will be cancelled. She said did say that Dr Chu is scheduling for Late Feb early March at this point. So that is good. I think I'm going to just dance and jog all weekend... Everything I do will be dancing or jogging.... I'll jog to the bathroom... Dance in the shower... maybe do a combo of the two when I go check the mail... LOL!!! I WILL be down to my goal weight on Monday! Mark my word!!!!
  14. Perinatal??? Oh I hate auto correct on my phone.. What I meant was PERSONAL. Ha!
  15. I guess my perinatal frustration is just because this weight that is leeching onto me, is the weight that is keeping me from being scheduled for surgery. THE only thing standing between me and my surgery date. I'm trying to just not think about it so much and just do what I can do.
  16. STILL at 214! This mornings weigh in was 214.2... TWO OUNCES... Ughhh... I emailed my surgeon asking her for suggestions. She told me that she would have the dietician get a hold of me and review my food log. So... Yeah... Maybe next week will be my lucky week. I cannot believe it has full week and no loss at all. I know that I will face stalls after surgery, and I guess this is just the preparation for those moments. Or at least, that's how I'm looking at it! Ha!!!
  17. Thanks for the support!!! I think I'll do my Protein shake for dinner and my normal hour of cardio at the gym tonight... Thinking I sit in the steam room with layers I might be able to get out some of the Water weight. I just want to get this last pound off so I can get my dang surgery date!!! Lol! kimi
