  1. Thank you. I am aware of my current diet options. I just was questioning frozen yogurt. I mean... We can have sf fudge pops and we can have sf pudding, so I PERSONALLY wasn't sure I'd there was a big difference between these and froyo... Thank you for your response.
  2. I didn't take it that way at all! I hope no one did! I took your comment as had intended it to come across.
  3. Agree! I wasn't looking to "cheat" in anyway... I guess I must be completely oblivious to how bad sugar free frozen yogurt is. I'm glad I posted this because I clearly need to look into what I "think" may be okay and what should be off limits. I know the obvious foods to stay away from, but never really though sf frozen yogurt would fall into thy category. Thanks for the feedback
  4. Wow! Thanks for the attack! Actual I was being serious. And yes, I did pay for my surgery (not that that should be a factor in any case. This surgery is the same regardless). Perhaps I should have been more specific in starting sugar free frozen yogurt OR sorbet. I am not at the point where I can have Greek yogurt yet, otherwise I would help myself to some of that. I realize that frozen yogurt doesn't have "nutritional value" but at this point in the game, I'm not getting much nutritional values from anything that I'm taking in (besides my protein shake).
  5. Okay... I'm in liquids only. Not Clear Liquids, but liquids. I can have creamed Soups... Protein shakes and all of the normal liquids.... What are the thoughts on Frozen Yogurt??? We have a great little frozen yogurt place here in town and I would LOVE some right about now, but I'm not sure that is considered to be a "liquid".... ??? My appologies if this question comes across as being lame (like I should know better), but I'm honestly on the fence about this one...
  6. I have to agree with you! If anything we (those who have had the surgery) have to deal with being under the microscope and work harder to lose/maintain than those without the surgery.
  7. Me too. My surgeon told me to make sure to try to "stretch" not to "strain". So I've been making it a point to attempt side bends (bending from the waist) a couple times a day. The only sight that is bothering me is the main incision from where my stomach was removed.
  8. I am also 5 days post op am dealing with the same issue! However, your Fluid intake is WAY better than mine. I'm struggling to get in any. My goal today is to mentally focus in this and get it done. Is watered down Gatorade okay? I've heard if the pedi pops from someone else the other day, but haven't been able to find them anywhere...
  9. I think I'll be able to handle it a bit more when I'm off of the liquid only part of this...
  10. In went today to the grocery store for the first time since surgery.... HOLY CRAP!!! I stood in the bread aisle and just inhaled! Definitely harder than I expected it to be. But... That's how it's going to be... I need to adjust...
  11. Congrats!!! Good luck on your journey to good health!
  12. Brighter days are just around the corner! I had my surgery on Tuesday. I, just lie you, stayed one night at the hospital, had horrible bouts of nausea (except mine had me vomiting and dry heaving the whole time I was in the hospital). I had the morphine plain pump, I would never have touched that stuff if I would have known how much it would contribute to my nausea. Every time I sat up, or got out of bed, I vomited. They gave me an abdominal binder which helped a TON! I Ha an 1 1/2 hr car ride home, no nausea meds. I just remember closing my eyes and praying that I could make it home without vomiting. I did. Literally. As soon as my daughter opened my car door, I was face first into my vomit bag. Of course nothing but foam was coming out anytime I would vomit. Thy have me Tylonal with codeine for my pain. I downed some of that and chewed up a simethicone tablet (for the gas). I pretty much decided to camp out on the couch for now. I tried laying in my bed and it was just too flat for comfort. I will tell you the first morning that I woke up at home, I felt better. The nausea was gone. Gas pains still linger and my abdomen is sore but nothing too bad. Hang in there! It DOES get better.
  13. I buy the premix shakes. It's not so much the smell that is getting me, it's the consistency of the shake. I just ordered some unjury unflavored samples and some syntrax sample packs of different flavors. I'll find something that is going to work!
