Coughing
The suggestions here are good. As soon as they pulled the oxygen mask off of me when I was in post-op recovery room I had a couple deep coughs. It hurt like hell but cleared me out very well and I could breathe much better! Good luck!!

Changing my screen
Depends on where your soreness is. Personally mine was gas pain (shoulder/neck area), and incision site soreness. The incision soreness will go away with time (you can take whatever medicine your doc gave you or allows to help). The gas pain can stick around a while. The best thing BY FAR is walking. Walk as much as you can, this will help tremendously. It took me 6 days to stop having gas pain. Some people it's faster, some it's slower. It's hard to say, everyone's different. Good luck!! I hope everything goes well!

May Surgery Dates???
- Love this quote!!
This quote is so true!! Often I hear people complaining of not seeing a drop on the scale (understandable!), but they do see results in how their clothes fit etc.. Then, they get a positive outlook because of the loss in inches and what do you know, the scale starts dropping!!!!- May Surgery Dates???

I am a week post-op and I have it occasionally. I am on purée foods and I'd say about half of my BM's have been diarrhea the past couple days. It seems to be pretty normal. Hopefully it goes away soon for all of us! Good luck!!- Tomorrow is My Day

Snow in May??!! Lol man Canada is rough! . No problem, I like to think I can help others and enjoy doing so.- And here we go!
Every doctor is different when it comes to scheduling surgeries, so it's hard to tell. For most as long as you have everything completed and allow enough time to do pre-op diet (if required), they will get you in ASAP. But, sometimes insurance will drag out the process for a while (assuming that you are going through insurance). As far as the psychologist visit, mine was a joke. I filled out a 300+ questionnaire, and talked to the psychologist for about a half an hour. He asked me about my weight history, about what my expectations of the band were, made sure I knew this wasn't a quick easy fix, asked if I use drugs/alcohol, depression etc... It was a joke, don't worry about that part. Good luck!!!- 4 days after lapband surgery
