  1. That stinks... I hope that you start feeling better!! I have felt great the past couple days, so it might start getting better for you too!! But, there's no way I could have shoveled a bunch of snow when I felt weak. You are awesome!! Shoveling snow is a workout!
  2. Awesome!! I'm so happy that your day 1 went so well! 9 pounds is great, water weigh or not!! You're going to have to talk about a lot more than pee to offend me haha. I pee all of the time now too, because I drink TONS of water now! Good luck! What a great start!!
  3. Awesome!! Good luck with everything! You will do great!!
  4. Checking in at 338! That is a 31 pound loss since the day I picked up the phone to schedule a consultation! Pre-op is getting easier (especially since I'm not approved to have one "real" meal a day now Lol. On day 9 of 14, the last days will be a breeze.
  5. I have now been approved for a very lean meat, vegetable and salad DAILY until surgery! I'm on day 9 of 14, this will be a breeze now!!
  6. I have been on medifast/health wise products and SF Popsicles/jello. They are all very low in carbs w/ no sugar. As of yesterday I'm allowed to eat a very lean meat, non-starchy vegetable and salad daily. Good luck!!
  7. Awesome! Congrats! I know how exciting it is to finally know that you are definitely going to have the surgery!! It takes a little while to sink in. Good luck!!
  8. I'm the same as you, I don't usually get nervous until immediately before something. I don't feel nervous but when I'm pulling in the parking lot of the surgery center ill probably be freaking out thinking "what the hell am I doing?" lol
  9. Good luck on your journey! I hope everything works out well for you!
  10. It's tough but you can do it!! Try to stay busy if you can, eat TONS of SF Popsicles (if you're allowed), drink tons of water and then drink more water! Lol
  11. I definitely haven't had tons of energy. But, I've only been getting 6-700 calories a day, today ill be a little over 1,000 and I feel pretty good so far! I'm on liquids, but I do get 1 protein bar a day. It's the highlight of my day Lol
  12. You can do it! I'm on day 8 of 14, it's tough but worth it! Congrats on being able to eat chicken! I finally got permission from my dietician to eat chicken w/ a vegetable today for the first time. I can't wait for dinner!!
  13. Mistakes happen, you have done great! Sorry for the loss of your BIL, I'm sure that will be a painful day forever. Don't be so down on yourself, you have done an awesome job and are helping so many people by providing a real account of what it is truly like to go through your journey. Many people read these forums but NEVER post (I know this because I did it for a while). Good luck!!
  14. Good news! My dietician approved for me to eat a chicken breast with a non-starchy vegetable and a salad! I have found that being VERY precise with spacing my 5-6 meals and drinking drinking drinking (water) does help, as well as having a couple ounces of juice If I feel shaky. I am halfway there and feeling motivated to keep pushing through! Thanks everyone! I went to my nephews birthday party yesterday and watched everyone eat burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, cake, ice cream etc... I drank my water, BUT I actually felt pretty good. I felt in control. I wasn't sad or mad that I couldn't eat the food. I felt proud that I was able to politely say No thank you when I was offered cake, cookies etc.. The pre-op diet isn't all bad, it definitely helps you realize how strong you can be!!
  15. Great job!! I look forward to the day that I'm under 300 and appreciate you sharing your story/picture! You look great! I can tell its paying off.
  16. Great job! 19 pounds!! You have done great, I'm sure your doctor will be very pleased!
  17. Awesome! Good luck to you!! I'm on day 7 of pre-op. It is tough, but worth it! Down 9 pounds since Monday! My surgery is May 6th so I'm only a week ahead of you. YOU can do this!!
  18. This is a great question! But, unfortunately your surgeon is the only one who can answer it. Good luck!!
