  1. That is AWESOME girl!!! I had my first NSV today too! Wore a pair of shorts I couldn't get into at the start of summer
  2. Peanut butter is on my list of "be careful with this and maybe wait till you are more experienced with the band" in the packet from my nut. Yesterday i had lentil soup and it was divine. Today I had a couple tablespoons of tuna salad - it was basically applesauce texture before it went in my mouth. Also had a cup (well 1/2 cup) of broccoli cheddar soup from Subway since I was out with my sister and nephew at dinner time. All worked out great. Bought some diff kinds of squash today and am gonna experiment with soup recipes this week.
  3. 5. 4 small ones and 1 longer one near my port. Nothing in my belly button.
  4. My first NSV - wearing a pair of shorts I couldn't get on at the start of summer!
  5. You look great! The haircut. The hourglass figure. But the thing I love most is your smile - you look really happy and healthy!
  6. If you are concerned I'd call your doc. I did have an increase in port pain several days after surgery (when everything else seemed to be feeling better and better) and saw my doc because I was concerned. He thinks I just overdid it on a walk the day before and strained a muscle a bit. I've been fine since.
  7. When I started trying my side out I would hug a pillow to my stomach and for whatever reason that seemed to help.
  8. Mine too - I just knew I'd be traveling for work for a big conference when I had to start and I didn't want to freak out on ppl I really believe you will wake up one day and see the scale move in a hurry! And with the exercise you are doing your body good.
  9. I've seen a few folks who end up in the Green Zone right outta surgery. If a few bites keeps you satisfied for 4 hours, maybe you are one of the lucky ones!
  10. Welcome! I have gotten tremendous value from this site and community of support.
  11. Just stay with it. The weight will come off. I started a pre pre op diet 5 weeks before surgery and for the first 2 weeks the scale didn't budge. I was doing something similar to what you are doing now. Then in the 3rd week it dropped 5lbs. Then in 2 week pre op diet I was on I lost another 12. Sounds like you are doing all the right things for the plan you're on. The results will come!
  12. Yeaaaaa! Amazing work!!
  13. Have you tried your side yet? I'm fine sleeping on side and stomach now.
  14. Thanks, Mis. Great article. So would pouch dilation then be a result of someone eating too much, too fast on a regular basis?
  15. Thanks. I feel like we know each other now
  16. So is the 'satisfied' feeling from eating slowly so a small amount of food takes a longer time passing the vagus nerve signaling a full feeling?
  17. I've read lots of folks recommend fills with floro. My surgeon's practice only does the scan after surgery and if there is an issue. Should I be advocating for more frequent scans?
  18. I read on here that liquids go right thru... Is that accurate? And how long does food hang in there? I'm guessing 30 min giving drinking restrictions during meals but realized I don't actually know.
  19. I take 1 centrum chewable each day.
  20. I had some tightness in my chest from gas. Avoidedtheshoulder pain. My advice is to walk walk walk
  21. Congrats and happy belated birthday!
  22. Anyone take collagen supplements to help with skin elasticity? Do you think it helped?
  23. My doc told me given my age (33) he thought it likely I may have the band replace over the course of my lifetime. He didn't point to any specific research since little is available in the US for 20yr banders given how long it has been approved here - but that I should go in know it is possible I might need a replacement at some point down the road.
  24. Haha. Apparently my iPhone would prefer I was writing about stoplights instead of stool
