  1. This afternoon: Took stool softener pill b/c I've been on antibiotics and have barely pooped in a week (and am otherwise a daily BM kinda girl). Pill (I think) gets stuck in esophagus. 20 min later pill still feels like it's lingering, but I have a perfectly normal BM.
  2. It's unusual for me to be late... And so far it's only a cpl days. Wondering if stress from surgery might be the culprit.
  3. I am wearing a shirt from Old Navy (xxl) I bought w/o trying on over a year ago. Got home and it fit terribly. All spare tire. Never wore it until today! And the capris (20) I couldn't get into at the start of summer and today after wearing them straight from the dryer for a few hours - are already starting to get a little baggy in places. Yahoooo!
  4. Also, activated charcoal was great for me post-op with gas - but I think you're not supposed to take it more than 5 days in a row.
  5. I think this varies by which fruits and veggies you are using but I've read that soaking the produce in cold water for a bit before use helps remove some of whatever is causing gas. This article mentioned something specific a out broccoli and spinach this year having something in/on them that's been causing gas problems more significant than years passed. I'm having a brain fart on the name of the culprit tho.
  6. Ditto! First fill yesterday. 4cc's. I was all nervous and asked about a numbing agent b/c I'd read here that many get that and my doc assured me I wouldn't really feel anything. He was totally right. His feeling around for the port was uncomfortable but not painful, and I hardly felt the needle at all. The sensation inside was.... Unusual. Can't say I've ever felt anything like it before. Hard to describe but I def knew something was happening in there
  7. I had that a week out as well. Walking slower and holding an ice pack over the port area while walking helped me. It took 2-3 weeks before I could really walk at a normal/brisk clip.
  8. i'm also enjoying myfitnesspal!
  9. Centrum Complete chewables.
  10. Congrats on being banded. For healing it is impt to follow whatever post op diet your doc gave you. Have you had broth or hot tea? That has helped my hunger pains at times.
  11. Sounds like "sliming". From what I've read on here from ppl reporting similar things it is food or liquid backing back up your esophagus. This happens from eating/drinking too fast or possibly getting something stuck. Your body makes this slimy mucus to try and move the stuff thru the stoma. Might be worth calling your doc it you are concerned/if it continues even if your eating and drinking is at a glacial pace. Hope u feel better soon!
  12. I tried a packet of unjury unflavored in iced tea and it was disgusting. Maybe that is just the wrong combo. I just bought a tub of Syntrex unflavored and I'm gonna try to mix it into soups n stuff.
  13. Today in the shower I noticed I was able to shave certain areas with a lot more ease I didn't even realize it until I was halfway done - that I wasn't struggling to reach places. My husband will be thrilled
  14. good luck! you'll do great
  15. oof - i hope the recovery is swift in Week 2. congrats on getting to a place where you felt empowered to make this investment in yourself! i'm sure you will look fab healed!
  16. you look terrific - awesome work!!
  17. terrific work - you look fantastic!
  18. I'm almost 2 weeks out and my hunger has def increased in the last few days, and I've stopped losing (tho cals in remain the same in a range btwn 650-900). From what I've read on here that seems similar to many others' experience. Good luck w the fill - let us know how it goes! I've got another cpl weeks before mine and I'm curious abt what it will be like.
