  1. My nutri said no more than a cup per meal. So 8oz. Means u have to drink all day to get enough liquid.
  2. Just catching up on today's posts. I agree - this site is such a support for me. I love it and am so happy to have each of you in my life. There is also a useful fb private group that @crayolaphoenix started that I'm in - msg her and she will add you. I use MFP all day and find it necessary for my own accountability. I know I'm already linked to some On here and welcome new friends! My name there is avivasrobinson. The shower today was great. Still have some iodine and adhesive gunk on my tummy but got lots of it off.my stomach is swollen in a lumpy way by each incision but I am sure that will heal in time. About to start my 3rd isopure of the day. Yesterday got 30g of protein in. Hoping to double that today.
  3. I not even sure which incision is the port. I know it is on my right side but I haven't gone probing for it yet. Hoping my husband can help me take a shower in a bit. I have iodine all over me and it is sticky and doesn't come off with a baby wipe.
  4. I also slept better last night and on my side. I was pretty uncomfortable when I woke tho. Pain pill had worn off and ice pack had melted. I am still sipping isopure. Might try a full liquid shake tomorrow. My stomach is still pretty swollen. Anyone else's?
  5. Yep, it is right at the RT91 and rt2 intersection.
  6. Walking has worked for me. I also heard someone doing a yoga pose almost like child's pose so your butt is highest point and that helped her. Would be careful of stomach in that pose tho. Good luck!
  7. I hope they r pretty much done. Found chloraseptic throat lozenges good for sore throat. Numbing agent in them.
  8. I would encourage you to call your doc and let him/her know the current pain management they have you on isn't working. The oxycodone I have is similar - it is acetomeniphan with a narcotic - just a diff one than codeine.
  9. Have had a few deep chest coughs with phlegm but otherwise the most painful thing is when I'm standing up or sitting down. If I m laying still or walking I'm mostly ok. There is also this interesting hiccup burp that hurts a little but afterwards I feel so much better.
  10. Sorry of this is gross - but I just had my first post op fart!
  11. Fruit punch over ice. Little sips. On 2nd 8oz bottle now.
  12. Like rbmk - high on tummy over incisions. Helps a lot. I haven't gotten gas pains in shoulder or back yet but hear a heating pad works there. Anytime my tummy starts to feel tight I walk a little and 90% of the time that leads to a burp. Was sitting upright lots today and holding boobs off incisions. Took a little nap. Have slept total 5-6 hrs in last 2 days. Starting to really feel that. Hopefully sleep the night thru to tonight in my own bed. Am able to sip iced isopure. Good luck ladies!
  13. Ice pack? I have mine on almost all the time. It is helping a lot.
  14. Can't wait till I'm allowed a shower tomorrow. Iodine streaks all over my belly And adhesive from heart monitor patches. Also - as much as I asked my surgeon did not see the need for liquid painkillers are home. He gave me oxycodone pills. I got a pill crusher and the power in isopure is disgusting but I just swallowed a pill split into quarters and it went down fine. Happy to be in my own bed!!
  15. I don't have to - but I prefer to. I use myfitnesspal app and if you go to their full website on a computer you can print out your daily entries.
  16. Sipping fruit punch isopure now. I don't mind it so long as it is cold.
  17. They were gonna make me until they saw I was up and walking and clearly fine (by their assessment anyhow).
  18. I'd tell my former self to embrace protein. I had 80+g for the last month and before that I probably barely got 1/3 to 1/2 that for 33 years... And boy does it make such a difference.
  19. I read parts of that book. I liked it.
  20. Mine isn't yet but they just gave me a lozenge that helped. The inside of my lip is all really raw and swollen from where the breathing tube was taped. Think it was pressing my lip into my tooth. Ah well.
  21. Yea I'm not sure what they will discharge me with but the morphine def did not knock me out like they thought it would. Just had my flouro scan and tummy X-ray and everything looks good so I'm just waiting for discharge.
  22. It is worth trying. Also mint tea is helping my throat a lot.
  23. Also finding mint tea sweetened w stevia feels really nice on my throat.
